  1. Hour of 70's recordings covering hopes of better times, issues and struggles still now as 40-50 years ago, but in a very different world. 45's and LP tracks, some have only surfaced in recent times, including the wonderful new release on Soul Junction Records by Willie Williams 'Do you understand'. Also included both sides of The Originals recent 45 on MD Records, Frankie's 'Life in the City' on North Broad St Records & Herb Johnson's 'War' on AOTN. How all these never made it to a release soon after being recorded I just don't know, but thankfully available now and hopefully still more to be found out there. Hats off once again to all those who go to such lengths to find and release such wonderful material and the stories and photos that go with them. 1. The Rotations - We want freedom 2. Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes - Wake up everybody pt 1 3. Jackie Moore - If 4. Willie Williams - Do you understand 5. The Green Berets - We must make things right 6. The Voices of East Harlem - March across this land 7. Cool Sounds - Where do we go from here (America) 8. The Final Seconds - Society 9. Father's Children - Intellect 10. 3. Just spotted a VG+ Key-Loc Dj copy on Discogs in the US for $600 I had a beat up issue a few years back and swapped it for a NM issue on RPR. Never was sure which was first etc but not too fussed as it sounds great both sides on whatever label. What a record and group! Been enjoying the ‘Dear Sunny’ covers LP on Big Crown Records this last several months (good that the family get dues from projects like this) and there’s an interesting background on the collaboration with good insight into ‘Sunny’ within this Bandcamp link if anyone interested.. https://bigcrownrecords.bandcamp.com/album/dear-sunny

  22. Giving more thanks to all those who dig to find previously unreleased / unissued / alt-takes of SOUL. Following on from the mostly 60's mix a fortnight ago, moving back to the 70's and early 80's for this one and dropping the tempo again. Opening and closing with lovely imminent new double-sider from Carman Bryant / Doug Payne & Carman Bryant on Super Disco Edits. Also including wonderful new previously unreleased dancer from Bernadette Bascom out this April on Izipho Soul Records. Another real treat from Marvin Smith's Unissued Masters CD from the Wilton in 2014 (a concert Marvin sadly never made it to, but was still a great night!). Several other stunning previously unissued 45s and LP tracks from recent years to soak up too from Badwater Bridge, Impulse, Melvin Davis, Split Decision Band, BAGS, Marvin Gaye, The Kopestetics, Bell Telephunk, Jesse James & Gateway. 24. Have used the store a couple of times now and wanted to say, very good prices, superb fast service and solid packaging. Layout of the site is really good, smooth using iphone with instant soundclips and I like how you’re adding and featuring more range, including CDs and now review options. Cheers!
  25. Giving more thanks to all those who dig to find previously unreleased / unissued / alt-takes of SOUL. Lifting the tempo from the slower sides of a fortnight ago. Some firm personal faves in here. All 45's again, though a handful of the tracks were first released on CD comps some years before finding their way onto vinyl for the first time. Hope you enjoy, keep safe & well.
