Chairman of the Board - Manchester Show
Scotters replied to Owd Codger's topic in All About the SOUL
Fast forward 50 years and great to see the COTB still working / touring. Interesting 25 mins or so here from 4 yrs ago on the North Carolina Channel. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YtNxBEgAXAQ They toured a bit in the UK in 2016, maybe again since I’m not sure. I was lucky to see them at the Roadmender in Northampton that September and really entertaining, sounded superb live! Ken can sure still sing and blow a tune on sax. Thomas Hunter superb and Brandon Stevens did a song on his own from memory and has stunning vocals to my ears, perhaps has done some other solo work I don’t know but will have a look. Managed to get a really cool pic afterwards… Left to right, Thomas Hunter, Ken Knox, Brandon Stevens -

The Soul Motivators - It is what it is
-
New single from Carmy Love on Big AC out now digitally, with 45 to follow soon I think. Quality retro soul and what a voice!…
-
Is it the alt / inst mix that’s included in the excellent ‘Sounds of Manny Campbell’ comp that came out last March?
-
In a world of such change it’s nice to keep some things just as they are, thanks
-
I kept and also still love the early 80’s version by Billy Peterson Jr with the female backing (also on Split)…just noticed that 45 also quotes taken from an album ‘Hitman’, but again no knowledge of such LP.
