  1. Being a late entry myself I've no objections, only need to burn one more then all ready to post. Midtempo is my fave so looking forward to listening.
  2. It is on the listing I've just been looking at Dave. >>Barbara Lynn Discog<<
  3. My sentiments exactly and still the main reason why I travel. You can't get the rarities the likes of Butch has on tape or cd so you have to go out to hear him play them. At one time you could here a record and have a good idea who was spinning it too, nowadays all the wannabe djs are playing the same stuff ;-/
  4. Jerden the rarest and (I think) the first. Terrible record IMO ;-)
  5. well you were only on disc one other week out of 8 ;-)
  6. I've still got the last two we did, will minidisc them for you, better than the swap you did, well the 60's one is anyway ;-)
  7. Dunno what the fuss is about, hardly a new record, it's been played for years, old Wigan cover up (Embers - Playing The Part Of A fool). Probably due a rest but quality always prevails, if it's good enough it will be played. As for price of the record once they are gone that will be it and the price will no doubt rise again, then it will be "I can remember when there was loads of these about for a couple of 100" ;-))) Could be wrong and the whole market for NS records could crash ;-)
  8. Heard the count for Royal Esquires was min. 150. As for Frederick Hymes, the one to get is Tonny Hymes on Azbil, slower but far better, very rare though, only know of a few copies.
  9. Ah! Just remembered, Spyder Turner;-) On it's way. Can any user upload to the sounds? Or just youself?
  10. MP3 of what? what's s t, refresh my memory ;-)
  11. What I thought Christian, only one I could think of in a sales box or getting spins. Can't believe it's fetching the price it is for a boot too.
  12. Very good boot that one Hippo. Wsn't the Mel Britt another boot pressed at Monarch plant?
  13. Can't find the Tony Bullard but i've posted the Lyrics, virtually the same, so at least you can tell if it's the track you are after. Others on Flodavieur that I've got listed are Gloria Lucas - You Won't Be True/One Sweet Song and Preston Epps - Rockin' In The Congo, doubt it's him tho' but listening to some of the stuff they play you never know ;-)))))
  14. The main difference was the quality of the paper. He even had some done on vinyl. Once on the decks going round you would never have known the difference. Even on a photo on ebay I bet you couldn't tell the difference, like a said a very good scam, especially if you use a PO Box for mailing too. In fact know someone whos done that too :-0
  15. The ones the mate of mine did looked superb, virtually identical copies :-/
  16. "YGTMOAL" is a lot slower and to be honest off the top of my head would say they are different. Will have to dig the files out and compare :-) If they are trhe same never noticed it myself.
  17. Big thanks to Kolla for letting me in at the last minute, hope you all don't mind. Anyway got stuck in yesterday and they are all ready to go out :-)
  18. I know someone years ago who when he sold his collection, he had some of the rare stuff cut and he was into graphic art and all that. Anyway he had some lazer scans done, when lazer scans where first beinig used, and you could hardly tell the difference till you got up close. Not a new thing at all Grant. Certainly a good scam though for the unsuspecting or uneducated :-(
  19. There was a a couple at least groups called the Blenders from Chicago. One consisting of Hilliard Jones, Albert Hunter, Goldie Coates, Delores Johnson and Gail Mapp who sang lead releasing discs on Cortland and Witch. Themn there was the Blenders on MarVlus (Your Love Has Got Me Down/Love IS A Good Thing Going) who is I think the same Blenders on DJO and another on Daniels when We First Met" which again is the same group as the DJO outfit IMO.. Other Blenders track is the Stafford spin for Guy the brilliant slowie/midtempo "Cause I Love You". As for £150 for the DJO, the last one I saw was I think £250 and Manship rates it at £300.
  20. It was Phil Dick and Chris King behind thye supposedly legit relaunch. Think Phil dropped out of the scene more or less apart from radio show he does.
  21. Which one Mike, Tony Bullard - So Glad. Same as Lyrics on GNP?
  22. Definately black/coloured. Dave Flynn did an interview with him. Its on his site, Anoraks Corner, scans and photos there.
  23. Rare piece with only 100 to 200 pressed and has not seen much action on the scene. There's Room For Me also had an outing on Jaboth as well as Revere. TRFM on ebay at the minute over a $1000.
  24. gotta agree MArk, it's the opne I voted for. Spyder Turner good version too though not in the vote.
