  1. I can remember you telling us all Sean but couldn't remember his name...memory not what it used to be ;-)
  2. My play list is in another post on this forum along with a review from Janine and Derek Pearsons plays when we double decked Saturday night/Sunday morning.
  3. Judging by the prices being paid these days, every record I bought in my collecting days were a bargain.
  4. Can't remmeber his name but the guy responsible for the ads is a soulie (I think) from Carlisle. He is a mate of a soulie on another forum (also in advertising), he did tell us his name etc but forgot ;-) What input Kev R had I don't know, will have another read of the article.
  5. Fetchin' in the region of £100 these days, couldn't give these away at one time, always the case. Was booted on EEE although they used Ember Entertainment Enterprise instead of the EEE and booted on BMR.
  6. Oh yes the cobbled dancefloor!!! If folk thought 100 Club bad at times got sod all on this floor lol. Can remember the wedding night and maybe one or two other nights where we had to go in another room while locals cleared out.
  7. Gary deffo spun it in the 80's and 90's, got it on a tape off him. Carl now has it and is the only gunuine one, anyone else playing it is playing a cut/emidisc.
  8. Was played at Stafford by Butch. If I remember rightly neither the Temptones or Diane Lewis are cover ups...both are unidentified and they are just the given name if you like, no name to cover up. Butch still plays both and both in my top 10. Can remember the Swan nighters in Mansfield...Soul Power, still got some flyers and membership (credit card type).
  9. Oops forgot to log in ;-)
  10. Apart from about £950 being one difference, the gold one's are boot/2nd issues. Can't remember if they are legit or not.
  11. I've had the odd one or two, neither e-bay nor paypal ask you to change your details via e-mail, all done when you log on to respective site. Delete them and report to ebay/paypal.
  12. Suspense over, it's played as the Temptones - and is called "Thats When You Know Your In Love, studio acetate. First played at Stafford.
  13. Used to be Gary Spencers and I thought this was where Carl got it from?????
  14. Think it's more a case of the record settling back towards it's true value...mind still got about £30 to come off before near true value :-) Loads of these about, usually two or three copies on ebay, on lists every week so why do folk pay these prices. As for Futures worth about a fiver IMO in the real world ;-) but some folk paying silly money.
  15. Hi Grant, got the tape cheers, is playing as I type. The track of Butch's is an unissued studio acetate he plays as the Temptones - That's When You Know You're In Love. First played at Stafford. Great record.
  16. Has been discussed elsewhere so i'll post what came about!! There were 2 slightly different versions of this track, both of which came from John Anderson; The Kontets on an audodisc acetate which was the version Pat Brady played as "Stanley Mitchell" the other one landed with Dave Thorley, I'm presuming this is Roger B's copy. Tis on summat like International Studios Acetate (defo Chicago).

  23. Very nice!!!
  24. I'm sure Gene Robertson was selling one of these, may still have it.
  25. Yep gotta agree with you Mr. D. does play some proper stuff. Everytime I'm round his house he makes me green with envy at some of the stuff he keeps turning up. His set in the Queen Vic at Prestatyn on the Sunday was one of the best I've heard in a long time.
