  1. One I pulled from e-bay.....
  2. Fully agree Mike, too many sheep on this scene
  3. 100's. All you hear form a lot is the £100's they've spent on each record and hardly ever the the cheap stuff.
  4. Thats the one I was going to suggest Mr. One Trout, only one I can think off actually
  5. It's probably overlooked because it's cheap  Quality record IMO.
  6. Cheers Geordie. Used to spend many a good weekend in Barnsley with the Mighty Bub, Derek, Snoz, Tony Fell, Tubby, Andy & Lesley Oxley and loads more. Was a resident DJ for the last couple of years or so at the Tracky Club with Bub and Derek. Good times Not been back up there for some time except for funerals
  7. Done some good stuff. Robbo played his My Love Is So Strong For You at the last Sheridans niter and it sounded great LOUD. Not heard it for a long time, in fact forgot all about it till I heard it again.
  8. beat me too it Pete
  9. Yeah but wasn't a look-a-like, on green vinyl or summat like that yuk!! forget what was on the flip.
  10. Probably no one on most
  11. Fucking crazy....there's a box full been found from what I here
  12. I'd not got that far when posting Pete
  13. Looks fine to me Pete.
  14. Well he had some cheaper stuff last night
  15. I know what you mean about his reputation and his mates. Can't be too careful these days.
  16. To be perfectly honest don't see to much wrong with the first one posted, the latter one looks more dodgy IMO Looks too sharp but like you say could be camera or scanner Seen another scan the same as the one Trev posted.
  17. Its Joe Giatano so I'm told but like I said they are both good friends Cheers for the link.
  18. Got the link, ebay number Trev? Brooklyn Born is Joe Giatano is he not, pals with Ritchie Rozens tho'.
  19. I'm sure Mark will echo theis but the 80's and Stafford in particular was were the breaking ground for many of todays so called "R&B" spins. Bud Harper (not R&B IMO ), Buddy Ace - True Love, Patience Valentine, Cookie Jackson, Big Daddy Rogers, Curly Moore, Arthur Freeman, Benny C Oliver, Blue Jays, Danny White (Atlas) and many more I could list but can't be bothered Even though I don't like them all, many of these I consider the acceptable side. The last few years however has seen the R&B sound get earlier and earlier and often verging on Rock and Roll, Leo Price, Bruce Cloud to name but two. It's this kind of record that does absoutely nothing for me whatsoever and feel should be left to the specialist R&B rooms and kept put of the NS rooms As for Barbara Dane, should be played at a line dance
  20. Is there a smiley sticking two fingers up
  21. No we just like to argue
  22. ok ok will take your word for it The acceptable side IMO, NS again. As you well know I used to play Cookie in the 80's and had the Patience Valentine in my collection at one point. Thing Big Daddy was one of the first to play Cookie? Got it on some old tapes of his somewhere
  23. I know and maybe so but Mickies version IMO is no longer R&B in the same sense as it's earlier release. Out and out NS IMO
