  1. The biggest one I passed up was at Bradford Queens Hall, Tina Roberts One Way Or The Other (Security). Pete Lawson offered it to me for either £60 or £100 can't remember which. Try finding one now Was happy though at the time with what I'd spent my money on so can't grumble
  2. My apologies then. It was 4 am and I had just got up in my defence
  3. If I'm wrong I apologise but haven't a few people suffered at the hands of Michel Scarpone?

Well O-Gee is a New York label so presume Clamike the same

  6. Is it? Was that said in irony or in jest? He or she still hasn't said who they are. I certainly wouldn't buy a record from some on line stranger with one post behind them and Belgiums reputation for sellers isn't up there with the best now is it
  7. Cheers mate maybe the other side should be played again, would no doubt bump the price up another couple of 100
  8. I can't see the point in buying something you don't like Might as well spend the sort of money you'd have to spend on ML on summat you do like
  9. I think they both had it covered as different artists initially. Colin certainly played it at the Winding Wheel covered as Tommy Navarro, sure there is a review in Shades Of Soul from sometime in '87 where this is mentioed. Later both covered as same but thought it was covered as Jimmy/James Conwell. Having trouble remembering the Kim (?) disc
  10. Like you say Hammy too many wanna be DJ's happy to chase the same records as everyone else, throw money at records like Bill Bush which in essence should be more like £150 or less due to the number of copies about. Time we had more individuals, with their own identity given a chance and not just those with the same big money (often over priced) indemanders as everyone else. Ralph Graham biggie for Colin Law and I think Jim Tennant (is that right Jock?) around '87.

Not sure without having a look at label for clues, Mighty Sam recorded on the label. June Bateman recorded for Clamike. Also recorded for Odessa but need a nosey at label for clues. Any scans anyone for these and also for Cherry?

  19. I dumped Real Player and installed this, however only use Jet Audio for all media types
  20. Yep was Capones, don't think I missed one....some great nights for a Sunday there with quality soul.
  21. Can remember Darren too, DJed alongside him few times in the 80's (if it's the same Darren )
  22. But then again Elijah, if your reading, the first set of records pressed you have no control over do you, so you would have a vested interest in passing these off as "non-originals" Just out of interest how much are you selling the "original" release for? Including P&P, know a few who are after one, could be interested myself if the price is right
  23. Would love one MArk, any from Stafford too?
  24. Saw Adrian last year somewhere, f*** knows where If I get done early enough Friday might pop into town and see if he's about, Steve that is, get some contact details if I can
