  1. I wish I did Kolla. Not very often I stick with an audio player but I've found nothing better IMO. I've a link for the upgrade (free of course ) will dig it out
  2. did you listen to some choons you got off the bay at your B-B-Q
  3. Some dance dj's use laptops apparently. Also if you use Jetaudio with the updates it will fade in and fade out tracks for you as you open each new track
  4. One I pulled from e-bay.....

100's. All you hear form a lot is the £100's they've spent on each record and hardly ever the the cheap stuff.

Cheers Geordie. Used to spend many a good weekend in Barnsley with the Mighty Bub, Derek, Snoz, Tony Fell, Tubby, Andy & Lesley Oxley and loads more. Was a resident DJ for the last couple of years or so at the Tracky Club with Bub and Derek. Good times Not been back up there for some time except for funerals

Done some good stuff. Robbo played his My Love Is So Strong For You at the last Sheridans niter and it sounded great LOUD. Not heard it for a long time, in fact forgot all about it till I heard it again.

  19. I know what you mean about his reputation and his mates. Can't be too careful these days.
  20. To be perfectly honest don't see to much wrong with the first one posted, the latter one looks more dodgy IMO Looks too sharp but like you say could be camera or scanner Seen another scan the same as the one Trev posted.

I'm sure Mark will echo theis but the 80's and Stafford in particular was were the breaking ground for many of todays so called "R&B" spins. Bud Harper (not R&B IMO ), Buddy Ace - True Love, Patience Valentine, Cookie Jackson, Big Daddy Rogers, Curly Moore, Arthur Freeman, Benny C Oliver, Blue Jays, Danny White (Atlas) and many more I could list but can't be bothered Even though I don't like them all, many of these I consider the acceptable side. The last few years however has seen the R&B sound get earlier and earlier and often verging on Rock and Roll, Leo Price, Bruce Cloud to name but two. It's this kind of record that does absoutely nothing for me whatsoever and feel should be left to the specialist R&B rooms and kept put of the NS rooms As for Barbara Dane, should be played at a line dance
