sorry the French one was an E.P. Not an easy one to find.........any 45 format. The MGM 45 is the blue and gold coloured label.

Been played on and off for years Christian, certainly spun in the 80's although didn't hear it as much as I do these days. Great double sider IMHO.

Last one on e-bay went for (after conversion) £512. Seen it sold few times, through dealer for between £450 and £700.

Cressa Watson and Martha Starr vocally sound remarkably alike The only difference being to my ears is the break in Martha's version. Then again many have said I've cloth ears

Think the music policy at venues has been one of the reaasons for attending venues for many soulies. Personally can usually tell by the Dj's booked what the music will be like and no doubt the same can be said of many other regular soulies If across the board and open minded, no preconceptions means hammering Ace Spectrum, Angie Stone, DrizaBone, Futures, Constellations et al then give me oldies and the blinkers any day

Why shouldn't we/promoters cater for those who venture out once a month? They have has much right to attend a venue as those who go weekly

"Across the board" venues are just a poor excuse to play played out 70's northern and stuff like Drizabone, Angie Stone etc. Many UK promoters could do no worse than pop over to Oslo and see how they do it there, superb night there last year (November I think) playing good "soul" music!!

At least three label designs... Black with two Blue triangles at top of label Blue with silver writing Black with silver writing and maybe the a fourth with the red striped design.

Cleethorpes tho' in it's defence was an upfront venue in it's day, not just 60's but many 70's so would have thought you would hear more modern sounds there. As for Desboro' I voted with my feet and stopped going.
