  1. Overpriced £1000 of anyones money and considering some of the records that have been sold through JM and the prices it's cheap IMO.
  2. It doesn't even sound like them to my cloth ears
  3. Was told it was a Stafford spin whilst doing some research
  4. It ain't the Monzas. It's studio acetate on; and it does say summat on the label but wherther that refers to group, label or studio????
  5. That one of them, sure I got some others on cd somewhere.
  6. You do know it Kenny...Kitch used to play this a fair bit at one time.
  7. There's also a Detroit Versatiles, recorded on Staff which I'm sure is Detroit (Arabians also on label). Also know of other unissued Motown by the Versatiles.
  8. Came out twice. Once on Redd Coach and again on Delite on the flip of I Saw You There. The Delite copy would probably be in excess of 2k and the Redd Coach in the region of 5/600 IMHO. Good luck
  9. BTW the other side of the Otis Brown is just as good
  10. Of course I agree. It was a Saturday, I was stopping in (for a change) and I had nothing better to do
  11. kin ell you got further than me....I read the first sentence, hit the first link and though sod it, copied the link over here
  12. found it Mike, cheers
  13. Soundfile of the Mighty Chevelles anyone?
  14. I agree with ya Dave. With the exception of possibly one all the others wouldn't put themselves up there. They are like you, me and practically anyone else who goes to venues (or some that sit in their armchairs) in it for the love of the music....oh and a laugh
  15. Would your opinion be the same Christian if it was someone else selling it? Don't get me wrong, I like it, it's a good record but it ain't a dancer. You really shouldn't tar everyone with the same brush, not all of us go out and buy the same old same that every wanna be DJ is buying. There's plenty of good soul, dancers for under £50 if you have the time and patience to look learn and listen PS Joseph Webster has been played since the mid to late 80's.
  16. At the end of the day you can have the best DJ in the world, you can have the best supplier of records, you can have the most knowledgable folk on the scene but anything they do, have or know is pretty useless without the dancers and punters who pay there money week in week out to listen, dance and buy Northern Soul!
  17. whether I agree with your opinion, or anyone elses is a different matter
  18. Gotta agree with you Christian
  19. You challenge me? I respect anyones decision on who they think is good or not. If we all liked the same DJ's/records it would be pretty boring and we'd have f*** all to argue about on here
  20. Ahhh now I know who they are. Andy Dyson's knowledge is as good as most collectors and dealers on this scene. Like Hammy said, he has nothing at all scibbled down, everything is in his head. So I'd put Andy above Levine. I'd also put him in front of the two authors.
  21. Who'd be the first to be evicted Steve...some right characters in there
  22. Think he's trying to say your a fool
  23. The two authors Brett mentions probably no very little of our scene so they can't possibly be included.
  24. Dunno who number one or number seven are so one would go and Andy Dyson would be in there. I spoke to all the others and Butch IMO is far ahead knowledge wise than most of 'em.
