  1. Sidney Hall is superb
  2. Without getting off my arse and looking Is the flip Somebody Really Loves You? If so better side IMO.
  3. Ermmmm....probably cause it's got some soul in it and it ain't rock and roll or country as a lot of the crap masquerading as R&B is
  4. Must have posted at the same time Pete. Thats the rarer IMO, yellow label, blue writing.
  5. Always thought the yellow and blue label copies are the rarer.
  6. I would have thought the studio would have cut an acetate upon recording? Whatever the source Colin Law was spinning this years before it surfaced on Soul King. According to Ron Murphy there should have been 8 releases on Gold Soul, three were pressed then a fire wiped out the ARP pressing plant losing in the process 5 releases...The Metros, Nelson Saunders and Lafayette Vaughn amongst them.
  7. Dunno Trev...memory bit clouded about who put it out. Name of label suggests CK.
  8. Thought it was Rod Dearlove and Tim Brown????
  9. It was found by Ron Murphy when he found some tapes that came from the Terra Sherma studios. Old Colin Law biggie few years before it was pressed.
  10. It was an unisued cut, released in the early 90's on soul king
  11. Like you say the flip is good if not better and got spins in the 80's. Been a tape swappers fave for years. £250 tops IMO.
  12. Irene & Scotts - I'm Stuck On My Baby Dedications - Ain't A Bit Sorry
  13. and I never managed to buy you both that drink I promised Next time I see you both
  14. Big Dee Irwin - You Satisfy My Needs
  15. How much is this now BTW...£500?
  16. One of my all time faves. Driveller always spins it when he sees me Are the labels reversed? There's also a cheaper version by the Presentations.
  17. I didn't say all Brit (British for you Kenny ) dealers
  18. Usually find that the condition stated by the US sellers is usually better than most Brit dealers stated condition.
  19. Quote of the weekend...think it came from Andy BB about someone selling a f****d record at high price seller...."yeah but the labels mint" and the reply "I don't want to play the f*****g label"
  20. I know where Greg got it from...someone did a cut for him on the way to the Dome if I remember rightly. Anyway they came from the same person I got mine from.
  21. Nope there is only one acetate, it is this speed, Butch notched it up a tad (plus 2) to play out.
  22. Like I said owned by Butch. I've all the takes, there was a cd doing the rounds from Dave Brown (I think) with them on. Still doesn't give Greg the right to say they can be posted when someone else paid a large amount for it (IMHO).
  23. As far as I know Greg doesn't even own it....an acetate only owned by Butch isn't it?
  24. Don't think it is in the public domain. Was put out on a cd a year or so ago that got rounds a few folks.
  25. I think the male vocals give you a big clue
