must be reading it differently....been a long day
  2. once the link to the file is on your PC, right click the link and open with notepad. A notepad page should open with the URL. Copy and paste the URL into your web browser address toolbar and then hit go.

If replying click on the paper clip and then go to the folder they are stored in and then select and insert. If it's to the site below the box you are typing in there is a section that says file attachments. Click on browse, search for and select the file form the folder it is stored in and then select add this attachment and then add reply.
  4. Is this the one Dave Flynn did?
  5. not on my PC...just a link. There's no full audio file in temporary internet folder till I copy and paste the Url I got when I opened the link with notepad. You can also use a program like HIDownload or just simply record it while it's playing.
  6. go to the page where the soundfile is right click and "save the link" to somewhere on your PC you can find it. Go to the place on your PC where the link is, right click, select "open with" then select "notepad". A page will open with a URL, copy and paste this URL into your browser hit go and the complete audio file should download to your PC, usually temp folder or if you use firefox whatever folder you have in your settings.
  7. SHIT!!!
  8. As well as the many good 60's?northern talked off on here there's plenty of shite talked about on here so why not this. Where does it say it's a site for Northern Soul? Sure it says only Soul in Soul Source Soul didn't all end on the 31st December 1969...although some of you think it did.
  9. Ruth Silky Waters, Regal Dewey, Brooklyn Dreams, Sovereigns? Dunno if same Millenium label.
  10. they are there now so my advice is get digging now, buy them while they are still cheap and before many who pay silly prices for the big ticket trophy records realise that there are more than 200 records on this scene
  11. once the trophy records have dried up or wanna be dj's finally tire of them todays cheapie will be tomorrows expensive one especially if they get picked up on by certain dj's and start to gain exposure. Will take years if you ask me to plateau out and prices finally start to fall IMO. It would need a large flood of records to hit the market at once and can't see that for the forseeable future.
  12. Hi Marc, I know they aren't identical and a differnet arrangement is used for backing but still think Benny C Oliver and Benny Curtis are one and the same...listen closely to certain words such as when he sings "Oh yes make it now". It would be damn hard to convince me otherwise. Think you would need "both" singers to tell me I'm wrong personally
  13. Anyone got an mp3 of Gail's version of Taking My Mind Off Love on Star Track they can send me? Cheers
  14. Little Carl Carlton Glad your still enjoying the cd's Mikey
  15. Andy Dyson got one e-mail him at Dysonsoul@aol.com Two good sides
  16. In the sounds gallery >>HERE<<
  17. if you don't like the records they sure did do some great sleeves
  18. Superb record, was big in the mid 80's for Guy Hennigan covered up as Linda Jones. Tenner is a bargain but mainly see it £15 to £25...still a bargain IMO, sheer class.
  19. A case of demand and it being one of the current "in" sounds falsly inflating the price. Can think of many records that used to cost little that now command silly prices..Four Tracks, Karmello Brooks, Tangeers......
  20. I'd be inclined to agree with you but people are paying it and others are willing to pay it so who's right?
  21. Might be mediocre Gash but certainly having an effect on the dancefloors...must have something going for it
  22. I know All those who are saying it's not worth the figures quoted, when and if you find one I'll take it at your valuation I know at least 4 others who would pay a grand now
  23. What about Jackie Wilson......just read his biography and the general feeling amonst many who contributed to the book feel he was the finest black showman/dancer there has ever been.
  24. excellent stuff Jon
