  2. you mean there are some good ones
  3. I can't listen long enough to have a proper guess....terrible
  4. ta... so to recap the origianl 1975 bootleg doesn't have the engineers name on them the original, pressed over 20 years later does like I said, my mate bought a demo for £200 not so long ago.
  5. tried searchin' for previous thread with Elijah's input but can't find it, dunno if one of the mods can find it?
  6. one of the first two didn't he put out...one has sound engineer or prducer's name on label one doesn't. He then put out a re-mixed version with strings and piano???? this one is supposedly the original first press. The one with sound engineers name (I think) he actually said he did 300 for family (big family ) and therefore isn't an original issue ...looking for my scribblings now, and a reply from Elijah
  7. original (which according to Elijah Cole is a bootleg) went to a mate couple of months ago for £200. An origianl re-issue from Elijah Cole well dunno...if he's reading he might respond with a price, he did to my comments last time
  8. Congrats on the 5th anniversary Mark Enjoyed my first experience of radio...we'll have to do it again sometime Glad you enjoyed the show too Karen. I don't mind throwing a track or two in Mark, will help in anyway I can if you can get it sorted.
  9. Yep room 101 was program for celebs in which they placed there placed the stuff they didn't like or hated. Sorry read your post wrong, thought you were banishing Sam to room 101 Room 101 from the novel 1984 by George Orwell from Wikipedia Room 101 is a torture chamber in which a prisoner is subjected to his own worst nightmare. Such is the omniscience of the state in the totalitarian society of 1984 that even a citizen's nightmares are known to the authorities. The nightmare " and therefore the threatened punishment " of the protagonist Winston Smith is to have his face gnawed by rats. Smith saves himself by begging the authorities to let his girlfriend, Julia (he is married but has not seen his wife in years), have her face gnawed out by the ferocious rodents. The torture " and what Winston does to escape it " utterly crushes the feelings between Smith and Julia, destroying their youthful idealism, their dreams for the future, and their feelings for each other. It should be noted that the book never actually suggests Julia is subjected to the rat torture (though she could have been threatened with her worst nightmare), and the original intent of threatening Winston with the rats probably wasn't to actually go through with the act, but to force him into betraying the only person he loved and therefore break his spirit. Room 101 is supposedly named after a conference room at BBC Broadcasting House where Orwell used to sit through tedious meetings. Broadcasting House certainly had a Room 101 - its door was at the far end of a long corridor on the east side of the building - and it's possible that Orwell's wartime work at the BBC was part of the inspiration for 1984's 'Ministry of Truth'.
  10. Being In Love Ain't Easy on Castle also any info please. Cheers

  13. We don't always agree Pete but I've got to agree with you here, sheer class this record, everything about it. Always been a fave of mine. Top drawer double sider
  14. all pubs, clubs etc have had to re-apply for their license regardless of whether they will use the extended hours or not. If they haven't done so, and according to radio interview couple of weeks ago many premises haven't done so they wopn't have a license
  15. Nope not rare, £15/£20...welcome to Soul Source btw
  16. It's been £400 for some time now even before the demand there is now , put this on a list months ago and it went straight away. Another £100/£200 with the extra demand isn't such alot compared to how other discs have risen in value due to demand.
  17. But you didn't say that...you said My Arse when someone gave an upto date valuation...implying they were off the mark Since when has rarity had owt to do with the value?
  18. Got this on sales lists from the mid 90's and it was £30 then. Seen recently for £40...sure Pete Smith had one. Seen as high as £89/£90. Think if better known would deffo fetch more than £40.
  19. I'll tell you summat Baz, if I had the one with All I Need Is Your Good Good Lovin on the flip I reckon I'd be asking 5/600 for it now and I bet you I would sell it. Even the cheap one with instrumnental on has been fetching $500 or there abouts (check back through ebay if you don't believe me...5 or 6 months ago $510)). So many folk ask me or Andy for this record!!
