Call me a cynic but he ain't done a Elijah Cole has he, seen how well the disc sells and pressed it up again? He is not going to admit that he repressed them because he has seen the price the record fetch's is he

  8. Hi Rod, the info I found while digging just related to Kai Haynes so could well be other releases. Don't know if Kai even sang lead with the group.
  9. North Carolina group I think. Found the name Kai Haynes whilst digging, he's a bass player and vocalist from Charleston and recorded one record for the group during a five year stint from 1966. Are you gonna post the soundfile? Great record.
  10. 4 or 5 copies....25 copies....10 to the UK........christ, however mnay copies still a seriously rare record. If stuff like Bill Bush and Cashmeres are priced well into 4 figures for records that number many more than the Topics what does that make something like the Topics worth?
  11. should make it clearer, got it listed as JALS.
  12. dunno what's in loft at me mothers Kenny lad
  13. My Dreams Of You is the flip to Sweet Lover according to JM guide, I've got it as JALS £40 in Tim's guide.

  15. Yeah tis JR. I was just quoting the name on the disc so as not to confuse folk
  16. Is Chubby Checker the flip (Can't Lose Something You Never Had)? Much better record IMHO. Melba Moore's Magic Touch...fab
  17. opinions are like arseholes....we've all got one the beauty of this scene is we all differ in our opinions and thats where forums like Soul Source and RSF come in...we can discuss these differing opinions. If we all agreed and liked the same things there would be f*ck all to write and argue about Paul Anka, take it for what it is, a good northern oldie, not too bothered about hearing it nowadays, Frankie Valli, never want to hear it doesn'ty even come close to Paul Anka IMHO
  18. which one, there's a couple ain't there

  21. Harry is definately Harry Starr.
  22. all of em at one time
  23. I think you'll find that the moaning was due to the fact that todays pop singers seem to get discussed when there are many releases from proper soul singers that never get discussed Still think it's pop personally....just my opinion. BTW...It's the record of the week on BBC radio 2 and getting hammered.
  24. thats a matter of opinion
  25. I thought this was cheap too, don't see it too often. As said old Stafford spin. There's a clip of the other side on site somewhere which is pretty good too.
