  1. isn't Ali Baba the top side? been long time since I had a copy....
  2. Pretty sure the Kismet one has female member and different to the Giant group. Flip it over Baz to check.
  3. Happy new year to everyone. Chalky & Karen
  4. so we still don't know who Frankie & The Classicals were?
  5. probably around £200? a mate sold one for £150ish about 6 months ago. A record that will have it's day again and then the price will rise
  6. If Paul Weller deserves a slap for murdering Ray Charles what does Amy Wingehouse deserve for her part in the terrible duet with him, f*ckin' awful. Karen said she looks like a bloke in drag got better side burns than Elvis Happy New Year
  7. I'll Be Glad - earnest sparks - soul o sonic 13036 refosoul Another one of my current spins. Forgotten Stafford spin for Guy Hennigan which used to be covered as Tate Saving All My Loving
  8. Jealousy - contours - unissued motown 13035 refosoul
  9. one of the biggest nighter spins past year or so for myself and one or two others is the Contours and Jealousy. not at home and only have a clip available...will follow.
  10. That was Ady wasn't it, Jimmy went on to Thorsby Market with some fairground rides or summat like. Dunno what he's doing now.
  11. Dunno, I know of one other copy, maybe others withthe likes of Butch etc. Won it from JM auction for £230. Bargain considering the only other copy I've seen for sale was Jimmy's some 20 years ago?
  12. oops, you sure can
  13. magic record
  14. Used to give the other side some turntable actuion at one time as well as this side
  15. I'm not at home Baz so can't right now. There might be a clip on site???? Will be getting a spin Friday at the Wilton.
  16. recently got a demo, top tune I'll be giving Mary Hunt on Soul Mate, I wanna love and be loved a spin whenever I can, great record and practically unknown to ,ost who missed the 80's. Old Alice Clark cover up for Jimmy Wensiora and until I played it at last lifeline I've not heard it out since those days.
  17. It is on Motion and it's called Stronger and Wronger. Labels are reversed. Early 70's. It's one of my current spins at venues like Lifeline. If you can get one for £40 get it cause it's rarer than £40. As far as I'm aware the handful of copies that have been/were about all came from same source. Steve Plumb had one for sale on here not so long ago.
  18. when it first turned up on ebay a mate lost out (second highest bidder), he was then offered ten copies. Can't believe anyone would pay serious money for this.
  19. seen one recently for ton, seen as high as £150
  20. thats the same source I was thinking
  21. originally released on red Harthon like your volcanos. gotta agree though great record.
  22. original red Harthon down the left hand side, re-issue/boot across the top, orange label as well...
  23. maybe the record is just a boot. are we sure VJ had the rights to the mirwood keyman catalogue? what does the liner notes of the Kent cds say?
  24. I'm not going to lecture you Pete. Can you put me down for the next copy you get Don't think I've seen one on your list for some time either?
  25. no far from it Simon. was going to say something but changed me mind so put a smiley there instead
