  1. I can put up with the Good Baby side, the other side (the "A" side) is really terrible. I used to own and play the record out don't forget. It's a good catchy dancer but in the greater scheme of things it's really very ordinary quality wise
  2. Good Baby is actually the b-side and the top side is a funky thing called Horny Toad or summat like which is truly awful
  3. £40, saw one in a box few weeks ago at that price.
  4. A Letter A Day - trent sisters - go-gate 13062 refosoul
  5. dunno how true it is but was told it was a soul pack record at one time, maybe for the other side.
  6. I think I paid about £15 or £20 around 87/88, saw enough of them about too.
  7. if purely for listening pleasure then why not buy the cd Kent put out? and hasn't Deon Jackson come out on an official cd? at least some money going to where it should and notr in boot leggers pockets if playing it out then it's no different to playing a pressing or a boot, either side for that matter as someone paid lot of money for the original Deon Jackson acetate
  8. maybe thats the sentiment the boot leggers use when pressing copies up
  9. I agree Little John is far better, in fact it's damn good, and far more desirable thasn the Trent Sisters which I personally think is average, rare I grant you but average non the less, just my crazy opinion
  10. the boots were vinyl, demos and poor print quality. Not for a minute sugesting that they were boots yourself and Dave found.
  11. personally I'd play the lp itself rather than get a cut, spend the money on something else
  12. they are no different to a boot IMHO if taken from something thats been released as in the Andy Fisher.
  13. No one has suggested that they are different in any way yet thats probably why no one suggest that they may be boots???? Was told the number found was into three figures, still makes it rare compared to some of the stuff fetching daft money. Has the Boss Four ever been rare? Danny Moore and Oxford Nights were obviously different to the real thing.
  14. Why?
  15. got to agree, the flip is better but top side still good.
  16. Good Baby - survivors - valli 13059 refosoul Full file for you, only posted clip in the past....far better things to spend your money on than this IMHO
  17. It was a £1000 record when I sold the second copy, plenty turned up since then but if someone wants to pay plenty for it then up to them.
  18. Listening to Estelle Bennett and the Ronettes and then Frankie (& The Classicals) they sound nothing like each other IMHO thats if you are intimating that they are one and the same I can see why you think this with the TV connection though. Frankie and the Classicals could just be someone moonlighting and probably why there is only the one disc
  19. There's a couple of Sheryl Swope on Duo as well as two or three Jo Ann Garrett.
  20. They had another release on Turbo. Sweetness/The Solution. Early 70's again. Dunno what it's like though.
  21. Holy Grail, for collectors or dancers? If it's for the dancers then the Trent Sisters might be as rare as hens teeth but is it really that desirable? Not in the same league as say Mello Souls which would appeal to both, infact I'd say it's a pretty poor record. How about June Jackson - You're Welcome on Musette, couple of known copies? same for Kell Osbornbe on Highland with just two known copies.
  22. probably about right considering the amount of copies about, reckon they will turn up regularly as well.
  23. according to Ady's liner notes on the Soul of Money vol 2 cd, the recording is unissued and from an unknown group...hence the name The Mysteries.....
  24. Lonely Too Long - sandpipers - giant unissued alt take 13047 refosoul
  25. If you think the finished versiuon of Lonely Too Long is bad listen to the unissued alt take coming up dunno where it came from, just found it on hard drive whilst browsing for Sandpipers tracks.....
