  1. well said, got better things to do than sit here going on about what might be sometime in the future. Enjoy it while you can
  2. I doubt it, well nowt too serious anyway, not that good really IMO.
  3. fab record. Ben amongst my plays for couple of years now.
  4. I thought thewre was at least two copies before the little batch turned up. Know Butch was playing this out mid 80's, was this the one Tim turned up?
  5. Nah mate but some do like to be exact with the quantities knocking about. I wish there was a copy for us both proper northern. Ted, the Deltours worth every penny just for the clapping in t'middle
  6. not 100% mate but sure Andy said there was only 6 or 7 from the little find of Tims. I can check if you wanna know for sure?
  7. Why not, been played at Northern Soul venues for some 20 odd years
  8. What About You - charlotte o'hara - ava
  9. The P-Vine I've heard in the past were just as bad as the Turbo release. I understood the P-Vine lp was taken directly from the Turbo.
  10. I often feature records under 50 quid in my sets. There are some superb records 50 quid and under that are far better than many of todays mega money biggies (all IMHO of course).
  11. From my experience most all-nighters are very different from Stoke which doesn't claim to be anything other than an oldies all-nighter. There are plenty of promoters trying to make a difference and book DJ's to play varied sets offering something different to the likes of Stoke. Lifeline is the nighter probably more local to you being at Barnby Moor near Retford. Get yourself along on the 21st April and you will hear something completely different to Stoke.
  12. ps. I will check out Pilsley sometime in the future, I know you rate the venue highly Bazza.
  13. It read like you was making a judgement on the all-nighter scene when you don't really support the all-nighter scene. Stoke and two in Sheffield, Sammanthas I presume, in the last 12 months is hardly your typical all-nighter scene. And as for the local venues, I live in the same area as you and the only two I can see that play something other than the same old same and oldies you hear everywhere are The Attic (which I will get to very soon) and The Union Soul nights at the Brit, I have to travel even for a soul night as the others have little to offer in the way of anything different from the playlists I've read and comments from mates round here.
  14. Gossip, bad business, bone idle and lazy, whatever you want to call it don't you think 3 months and a public airing of his is quite long enough to get your affairs in order? He's had enough bad press to stop me from buying from him.
  15. 3 months to keep his part of a transaction and unanswered correspondence is hardly what you would call honest is it. Seems a few have had problems with him and if I remember rightly someone posted a similiar topic about him in the past which he sorted once it became public on here. Like it's been said be nice if he came on and explained. Until then I wouldn't trust him and doubt many others wouldn't.
  16. I'm Stepping Out Of The Picture - johnny maestro & the crests - scepter (issue 15622 refosoul
  17. He's posted on other forums though.
  18. I personally would prefer allnighters that started at midnight or 1 am like they used and to do a warm up do local to the all-nighter first. All-nighters are starting too early these days not only killing off local soul nights but many people treat the all-nighters as a soul night by going early and heading home at 3 or 4 in the morning and therefore the all-nighter slowly goes down hill as the place empties and the atmosphere can be and usually is lost.
  19. How many other all-nighters you been to lately? What's your opiniuon on others? Not many I've been to are bland as most have good mix of DJ's. Stoke does what it says on the tin so I don't think anyone can really complain about Stoke.
  20. HE didn't make an album around this time, well not personally he had been in a coma for two years when this came out.
  21. a figure of 8 or 900 comes to mind for the last one I saw for sale might be totally wrong mind
  22. Andy Dyson played it out now and then.
  23. What Can I Do on United. Anyone got a spare? If so PM me with a price
  24. Don't Bring Me Down - rita dacosta - pandora/mohawk 15538 refosoul
