  6. Is it Volumes or Valumes?
  7. Leave the kid alone It's one of those films I can watch over and over again, lost count the times I've watched it. It was just double bill down here I think Wanderers and Warriors.
  8. One of my fave films ever is The Wanderer. Good soundtrack too.
  9. I'm sure it was The Departed I watched recently that had Human Beinz - Nobody But Me in the soundtrack. Great film as well.
  10. I sent you this via PM yesterday plus the other you asked for.
  11. It's on a 45, Highland. Released twice, original has yellow label. Later 2nd issue orange label. Shouldn't be too hard to track a copy down (famous last words ).
  12. It's Martha Jean Love - Old Time Lover. One of Butch's exclusives.

  15. we discussed this years ago, long before t'internet came along, and it was said and others agreed that the version without strings did appear on a 45. Yet to hear it out on said 45 though.
  16. shocking news so sorry to hear this and symathies and condolences to Sylvia's family and Ady.
  17. I made this comment Tony as sure thats what the liner notes on the CD Story of Hull/Mascot quotes. Not at home so can't look at the liner notes for clarification as to what it actually says. Cheers for clearing things up though
  18. Hull is as far as I know the origianl label. I've a cd of the Hull/Mascot story at home somewhere. I'll post the Hull version when back on line with new ISP. It's the same but missing the fog horn brass on the Up Down release. It's far rarer with just a handful of copies as far as I know. Both versions shite and sod all to do with soul Leo Price is Lloyd Price's brother for those that didn't know and he ands his band made up the in house band at Hull.
  19. This shouldn't be anymore than £20 like Pikey's Dog says but I've seen at £30 and £40. It's a pretty common record and it's had spins for years. Recently got a copy back and played it out.
  20. --> QUOTE(Geoff B @ Apr 6 2007, 03:40 PM) link What about a record called "Flashback" Heard him play this on the radio once.Would like to know who this is by,think he mentioned Ritchie Adams, but was this a coverup name? It exists on two studio acetates only, Butch and Richard have them.
  21. It was Ion first. Richard later got it off Rob, 3 records I think in the deal. Butch got the 2nd known copy a while back off e-bay.
  22. I think the issue tad harder for Ricky Lewis, seen more demos anyway.
  23. I've a feeling it was longer than the 19 minutes posted here, I coiuld have been splitting it to post????? Jo Wallace will know she was on the show. Anyway I can't find the "listen again" archive on t'BBC but there is the info about the show... Soul Self Satisfaction: The Story of Northern Soul Saturday 22 October 2005 10:30-11:00 (Radio 4 FM) Writer and cultural historian CP Lee explores the strange world of Northern Soul music, which first landed on British shores in the early 1960s. This movement instantly created an underground cultural phenomenon for teenagers who previously had nowhere to go. The Northern Soul scene was driven by a love of Black American artists who had failed to make a success in the USA. Followers of the Northern Soul fraternity include the designer Wayne Hemingway, music producer Ian Levine, DJ Jo Wallace, and lifelong soul boy Stuart Cosgrove, all of whom describe their passion and experiences of Northern Soul music.
