It's only demand thats put the price so high, wasn't so long ago it was well under a ton. Time the record had a rest, hear it everywhere these days.

My Dear Heart, alt Version,on This Site
It was played out covered as the Supremes/Diana Ross and then later assumed to be Barbara Mercer if I remember rightly. Why it was ever played out I'll never know, it's shite compared to Shawn Robinson, suppose it's one of those played cause it's unreleased rather than for it's quality.

The Elgins
There are several groups who went by the name Elgins. One on Congress. Another who recorded on Titan, Valiant, Double Shot, Flip, Lantham & Lummtone, as already mentioned. The Motown Elgins (VIP, Tamla) who previously recorded as the Five Emeralds on SRC and later on Peacock as the Downbeats. There's the Elgins on Nite who were Little Tommy & Elgins. Also Johnny Lee Johnson and the Elgins and of course there's the Temptations who were once known as the Elgins.

Which Manship Record Guide To Buy First?
How can the price guides be pretty useless? Apart from being pretty good reference guides you can bet most who sell and don't know the prices will set their price by these guides. How many times do you see on here someone asking for a value and then get quoted what the price guide quote. If you are going to buy one, buy the latest just for extra thats not in previous guides. New Bootleg guide out sometime this year as far as I know.

How Much Longer Can It Last?
If you go elsewhere in Europe from where you mentioned, 70's 80's funk, northern and even more recent releases all exist happily along side each other. It's all soul music to them with no oldies or disco.

Col Soul Label...only One Release
Kym Fuller did an article a year or so ago in Soul Up North on the Capsoul label. There's also a cd from the Numero Group Eccentric Soul series featuring Cap soul. They also did one on the Deep City Label and Big Mack amongst others. Some worthwhile releases by the looks of things. Look HERE

Col Soul Label...only One Release
Chandlers had another release on Bleu Rose (Never Before) You're Love Keeps Drawing Me Closer. I presume it's the same group.
