Is it an acetate or vinyl? To be honest it's not a bad recordfing but I much prefer Sammy Ambrose version.

Shades of Soul the best by far. Derek working on the next issue now. There's That Beat superb as well, the latest issue has some great articles.

as far as I know it's a one off, owned by Carl Fortnum. He got it from Tony Smith. One record I always ask Carl to spin.
  14. https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?top25=all no northern in top ten on popsike
  15. think there's a good few records that have fetched more than FW. I'm sure there's a Rolling Stones acetate that went for silly money somer years ago.

it was discussed not too long ago on here. It was recorded in Dave Burton's flat in Hong Kong. He sent me an e-mail with the story and I've been trying to find it but no luck. Maybe I'll mmail him and ask again? Listen on one, there's a telephone going off half way through and he starts to ad-lib a little saying your phone keeps ringing or summat like. Never released as far as I know except for the cuts kicking about.

13 daft buggers HERE all within 2 days of the record being listed and over 4 days to go. Price gone from $200 to almost $1700. If everyone used snipe would put a stop to the crazy bidding wars or mates bumping the price up. May be everyone should be allowed just one bid only, the highest they are prepared to pay? I can see Tich's arguement for keeping the auction "live" until bidding has ceased for say ten minutes then close, JM operates a system like this I think. But then again you know full well the end time so just put in what you are prepared to pay, if you lose out you then have no complaints. As for snipers if you can't beat 'em join 'em.

can't see the problem myself even though never used a snipe program. Your snipe is only good enough if you have bid high enough. If you bid as high as you wish using e-bay and you miss out you can hardly blame snipers.
  22. certainly saw and heard the term used 87/88, certainly before '91.

£250 is probably about right, certainly don't think it should be much more, cheaper if owt. Been loads in ther past and by the looks of it loads in the future.
  24. gernerally they aren't uptempo. they are records from the late 60's to probably'73/'74/'75 that don't fit into the general description of your traditional northern, 70's modern dancers...all IMO of course.
  25. You're the only one - bonnie balnchard & andy aaron - crs see you later yooof
