thanks for the comments, Christian Brodsjoe does most of the work on the site (he built it) so he deserves the credit, I just send him the scans and sounds from the Dj's who've played Lifeline. Some sent to Christian at the end of last week so keep checking for more sounds!!!!
if you have a web site and your link isn't already on the Lifeline Site we will gladly add it as long as you add ours to your links page just send your info via e-mail or PM
tis a strange one, labels the same but forgot to check the deadwax if I think on next time I'm in the same room as them I'll check.
just played both, slower take has shorter intro and is some 40 seconds shorter than the faster take.
I thought the P-Vine was taken directly from the Turbo release? The copies I've heard were not different really.
Anyway hope you catch the culprit and he gets what he deserves Andy.
From the DFTMC web site....absolute gem of a site for all your motown details.....

Personally think it's laughable for anyone to say you can't play an LP, the lp probably came before the 45!! And why on earth would you want to spend £20 or more on a vinyl carver of something you already have!!! It probably weighs as much as the lp as well
Most of the Detroit Precisions is top notch, especially What I want!!
Of the other Precisions the group on Hen Mar - My Sense Of Direction is fantastic!!!!
Still
Delite copy owt between 3 and 5k. Think the one on ebay went for around £3600 I think which I though would have gone for more
The Redd Coach I've not seen one for some time, used to be around £4/500, probably more these days
Posted the soundfile in the media source section Boba. Female backing and it's bloody awful backing at that. Karen's vocals not too bad but the backing just ruin the record!!! (IMHO).
Agree with Phil, JAckey Beavers show probably the best version.
Kin ell.......soo many good ones from him...Mello Souls has to be number one I think, closely followed by Diane Lewis, Parliaments, Mac Staten etc etc......
Hasn't there been a couple up for sale recently, Tim's auction and ebay???? There was another one on ebay I'm sure with set price of 6k but don't think it went.
The Lifeline web site has has a few sounds added. The Ralph Jackson (probably his hardest to find???) is well worth a listen for 70's fans and for the 60's fans the Charles Anthony on Filmtown. For the anoraks there's the slower rarer take of ther Promatics I Think I'm Gonna Let You Go up there alongside the "normal" dancer take.
More to be added so keep checking!!!!
Thanks for looking and thanks to Christian Brodsjoe for the work on the site
