If I Had The Time....i'd Set Up A Website
Struggle to remember what I had for breakfast Ian let alone 20 odd years ago The nighter was originally upstairs for 60's with Modern down. 60's then went downstairs with the upstairs becoming oldies I think. Didn't the Fusion have poles about the place? Was the Fascination across the road?

What about those that were great then but shite now- Records Upon First Hearing That Blow You Away
Del Larks - Just You and I (Mello Souls). That intro and then crash bang wallop, aggro soul (as Jock would say) and then some!- If I Had The Time....i'd Set Up A Website
I'll get one of the Winding Wheel (Chesterfield) wehn in town next. It hasn't changed one bit on the outside, doubt it's changed on the inside either, grade one liosted building. There was also nighters before it became the winding wheel, trying to remember name, Fascination???? One part of Winding Wheel was the night club which is the upstairs bit and the large downstairs room (back then) was the old Odeon Cinema. There was also a night club across road that had a nighter or two (was that one the Fascination????) if memory serves me correctly and also the Adam and Eve in the Town as well.- Billy Prohet What Can I Do Sue Records
different presses for east coast and west coast press. Think Marks is East Coast off top of me head.- Pauline Shivers
The R&B indies has the years '67 to '69 for the Opex label and '65 to '69 for expo label.- Frank Foster - Harlem Rumble
It was also released on the Spontaneous Arts label.- Rip Willie Tee
sad news indeed.....seem to be getting more and more regular these type of posts R.I.P. Willie- Mp3 Of Zz And Co Gettin Ready For The Getdown
sent.....- Kent Records
you just know when you hear the intro your gonna get quality. I'm still looking for an anniversary copy as well....wish I'd never sold mine- Kent Records
I reckon I'd go for Melba Moore too, fantastic- Bobby Angelle
Not sure about unknown quite a few dj's giving it turntable action over hear.- So Angry Is This The End Of An Allnighter Career?
I don't think anyone says 100mph all night do they, I'm talking dancers, be they uptempo or mid tempo dancers/moovers. I've played many mid-tempo records but I'd like to think they were dancers with the right tempo. I go to venues and hear many a plodder, no better than walking pace some of them.....they should be left for the chill out lounge or home IMHO.- So Angry Is This The End Of An Allnighter Career?
I agree with you Mick and I love mid-tempo as much as the next person but the music in the main at a venue should be dancers with the occasional slowie/mid tempo to give some a breather- So Angry Is This The End Of An Allnighter Career?
I also agree that there are too many mid-tempo/beat ballads at times. Not enough DJ's play uptempo dancers!!! Thats what people go to venues for to dance- So Angry Is This The End Of An Allnighter Career?
Didn't know I was in the States It was t'other way round, criticised my set elsewhere (Sheridans I think) then praised Wilton set...word to that effect too. Folk should say what they think but maybe not as blunt as how you say things at time you speak like a Yorkshireman though, don't beat about the bush, straight to the point Like I said do like to see a balanced view of the night and the truth....again I have to laugh at some of the look backs cause I know for fact it wasn't what they sometimes said on the night - Has This Been Done Before?
