Seeing the sale of the Sonic Explosion 45 today on here reminded me of this video. I have been in contact with George Stewart for some time now, he co-wrote the flip and produced the 45, think from memory it was his label as well. Anyway he sent me a video a few years ago of Hayward Rashard, the front man for Sonic Explosion performing the track a few years ago after years away. Hope you enjoy. Sir Hayward Sonic Explosion.mp4 Funnily enough he had a copy or two of the 45 which no one was interested in when I asked. Don't know if he has it or any left, he does know its worth though.

Epsilon Records Co Proudly Presents its latest release - EPS013 Funk Junction
Chalky commented on Yann V's article in News Archives
Two great sides and more superb work by Yann. -
That's forty year ago. Most records were a fiver in the 70s, you could get virtually owt you wanted for less than a ton in the mid 80s. You cannot compared then to now. we see daft prices for records that were a fiver ten years ago. You have more demand now, different senes for both sides. Mathew Barnett I thought cheap, some of the others more or less what they have been selling at set sale give or take.

Fred Hughes seen both for around 250/300 but not for year or so. Danny owens not seen for a few years but last one was around £1K, it was auctioned on Facebook, may have been on here as well.

I went to Wigan other day in wagon. The road network to get there is terrible getting in and out.

This photo appeared last year with a few others, a couple taken from the flats across the road, Darbs, Jacko, Russ and a few others in separate shots too.

Exciting New Release From North Broad St Records

Fabulous double sider -
Well I'm back "on shift" for the next few weekends so this looks like being my next night out. Last month (April) was my first time here and it was such a good night. Look forward to Chris's set and of course Baz who has a collection to rival most across any genre. I'll be early this time Simon so we can get the whole night in

After a b*stard of a week on the road and it was looking like I wouldn't get out last night. But after finishing at 6, I was home for seven and out the door for 7.50. Flew o'er tops to Simon's and we were in the club at about 8.30 and sinking a well earned pint. My first time here and very impressed, full when we got there and I think Chris Churm was on the decks. John Baggaley & Dave Flynn followed I think. All three played imaginative sets which were well appreciated buy those in attendance. Phil Threlfall pulled out a set of some absolute monster northern soul you seldom hear anywhere and Derek Watmough saw the night out with another excellent imaginative set. A very refreshing night, don't recall hearing many if any classics or same old same you hear at too many venues but what was played was very much appreciated as was shown with a full dance floor for most of the night. Superb to see some more friends I hadn't seen for over two years and some meeting some for the first time as well, nice to see the legend that is Matchy looking well. I will definitely be back next month, my shifts fall right. If you haven't been give it a try you won't be disappointed. Thanks to Simon for waiting for me and again for his hospitality, top mate.

Dean Anderson's Sound of Soul ™ 7th April 2022 with The Rare Soul Man himself John Manship with 2 hours of quality soul music across the genres and some intertwine discussion about the birth of soul to the world wide phenomenon it is today.

John Vincent had it at Morecambe. That was sold back to John Anderson I believe. Not sure about resurrected, did it ever make it as a staple play before Butch played it? Briefly played and quickly forgotten by all accounts? Not right for the time.

If I can finish work by 4 I’ll be over mate, been a while.
-
If you are talking about the 2012 45 then there are two reissues of the Lp in between the original Lp and this and a 2001 45 issued alongside the expansion reissue Lp.

Excellent night last night at Culcheth. Didn't hear a bad record all-night in either room and a few even got me on the dance floor. Great to catch up with some I haven't seen in far too long. Thanks to top man Simon for his hospitality and hopefully will be doing it all again next week at Ashton Ukranian.

Just about to set off o'tops to meet main man Simon. See ya'll toneet.

Unless done from the original masters with original labels and typesetting there will always be a difference somewhere, its just spotting that difference.
