  1. been hammered for a while, got sick to death of hearing it.
  2. As Eddie says played by Guy there as I think Jimmy Gresham, not sure if Dave T played it as well.
  3. wants posting in the Stafford tracks topic this. Old Jimmy Gresham cover up I think.
  4. I can't post a soundfile right now but will do when at home if someone doesn't do so in the meantime.
  5. I've a pin type badge at home too Rob, sure it's a Leicester one. Will try and scan it sometime and post if it is when I've checked.
  6. they must be off their heads to make complete tw*ts of themselves in the street dunno what the neighbours will be thinking peering from behind the net curtains
  7. Ted's went to Tim.
  8. Butch and Tim B as far as I know the only two. Not saying there aren't anymore out there but never heard of any other copies. I'd post scans and soundfiles but not at home for few days.
  9. Two known copies both demos. Kell hasn't got one either. I played it down the phone to him when I tracked him down and it was first time he'd heard it in over 30 years and he just said "Wow" and then asked if I could get him a copy. He was gobsmacked people still listening to his music and collecting it. Kell's been working with Arthur Wright and there is a cd out now of some newer material and should be one out soon of his 60's material.
  10. bargain at that price, took me ages to find a copy. Still only seen a few since then. Two great sides IMHO.
  11. As far as I'm aware Mel it is the same Johnny Wyatt.
  12. nice one, cheers Eddy.
  13. I've not got this one, is this part II to the 5 disc set? Uses same map I think? Have you got tracklistings?
  14. most/all of the cd's on the market, goldmine and the boots, just cover the popular stuff played. Why not start a topic in the media section and see what gets posted? should get some of the records played back then that are lesser known to todays crowd.
  15. if you managed to get any of these Steve can you send 'em to me as well The Doc Peabody will be the on on Best Sides Both, Here Without You.
  16. as Pete said, is anyone goona go back and read the question properly
  17. I did a poll not so long ago Anton and if I remember rightly most wanted nighters to start once again at midnight till eight with everyone meeting at a local venue prior instead of pushing the local promotoers out of the picture. It is however not easy to get a venue for these times with most owners wanting to take full advantage of an earlier start with the bar. It's not that easy to get a quality venue full stop, with many owners not wanting to entertain soul all-nighters.
  18. Looks that way Cliff, can only think of Al Kent off top of me head myself. Will bell you tomorrow sometime.
  19. Personally I don't think £700 is a bargain. Never understood why this fetches so much, it's not as thought there's been a shortage of copies over the years.
  20. he's not on his own, hear very little soulful in it, as Ted said very beatlesque, p*ss poor really.
  21. Cheers Boba, if you don't mind would love the members names. I always thought the Magnificent Seven/Men were white. again many thanks.
  22. anyone got an mp3 without the annoying beeps?
  23. JM auctioned one this year for just under £300. Books at £400.
  24. Only had time for a quick read but just to recap...the Parliaments on Unpredictable, Symbol and Cabell one and the same, consisting of members Little Archie Himmon, Mel Harris and ????. The Magnificent Men on Dial & Eastern no connection apart from backing the Parliaments and Little Archie supplying songs!? Please correct me if I've read this wrong!
