    They have also had to contend with floods in Melton, all roads in were closed as they were under water.

    I do like to read others perspective of their time on the scene. It can join a lot of dots from the times you/we missed if you like the history of the scene.

    I bought two LPs off discogs, I get the refund when they process the order, I also bought a 45 off his website, discount applied straight away with the code HALFPRICE. There are plenty of bargains on his site and discogs.

    The group was from Detroit and were discovered by Irving Micahnik and Harry Balk. Harry Balk probably got them the Big Top deal along with the other labels. Great track and one I had in my sets late 80s early 90s at places like Tracky Club.

    Aww thanks for the kind words mate. Hopefully I won’t disappoint this time either. Its been a great year once more at Ashton with the venue cementing its place at the top. A happy new year to everyone involved and who shows theirbsupoort for the hard work the guys put in. Hopefully something like this will be dusted off….old Jimmy Wensiora cover up and one I revived at Lifeline

    Yes, Fury recordings are from 61/62, could be Veejay as in a similar vein which is 63. It is a strange compilation for sure.

    It sounds earlier than the Maxx material, maybe from Bobby Robinson stable as you say when she recorded for Fury.

    It’s not easy to find and hasn’t been for some years IMO. would never have put down as a $1300 record but the way today’s prices are it doesn’t surprise me.

    Someone will have entered DC due to the Capcity release . His other releases if indeed the same person are west coast.
