  1. Must have heard it Tony just don't remember it
  2. listened to just over a third so far and it's fabulous listening, cheers Bob
  3. Spot on Steve. Too many who just don't give a f*ck about the scene apart from taking what they can out of it. It's about time some promoters looked at the wider picture and the future of the scene rather than their own self interests and over inflated opinion of themselves.
  4. I didn't think it was same guy but haven't been along to the events in Goole either. Just when Dave F said he saw him at Lifeline and Boomerang, two venues not too far from Goole just made me wonder.
  5. it's very good....can't say I knew it either. Anyone got a full sound file? and one of the Sam Williams This I Know?
  6. there's a Graeme Ellis in Goole, runs a modern sort of night couple of times a year....same guy?
  7. it was posted on here a while back look HERE Don't think Meaty knew it was played out covered up at the time until I told him.
  8. I agree with you pal, I'd sooner have one with the proper label. Tony Galla on you tube *oops just seen Harry posted the link to you tube
  9. anyone got an mp3.
  10. sorted now thanks.
  11. have seen it for double that and more.
  12. Lost my e-mails couple of weeks ago in PC crash can someone PM me Butch's e-mail address and/or mobile number. I should know his e-mail I set one of the buggers up with him Off list via e-mail or PM please!
  13. surprised you never realised how rare this was Phil. Played off untitled acetate since mid 80's by Keb then Rob Marriott as Fabulous Impacts.....you knew the record didn't you, you were about on the scene then?
  14. Old Alice Clark cover up for Jimmy Wensiora.
  15. There are two releases on Bo, flips are Can't Get You Off My Mind (Boo 1001) and I Guess That Don't Make Me A Loser (Boo 1004)
  16. Well I can throw you a lifeline Ian...next Saturday 28th at Brookfields Stables. Butch, Andy Dyson, Mick H, Cliff Steele, Sam and myself plus guest ADY POUNTAIN! The first three hours cater for collectors who fancy ago and this month we have Mick Boyle, Ritchie Andrews & Dawn Carmen.
  17. The only DJ close enough to Butch who is discovering for himself and discovers for the likes of others, plus has the knowledge and collection of the so called deeper unplayed oldies is Andy Dyson, he's up there with Butch IMHO and streets ahead of DJ's like Sam.
  18. it's had a couple of cover up names, Butch used Rita & Tiaras, Andy Dyson used Shalimars.
  19. they aren't the same price in staples, they are 10% cheaper if bought on line and next day delivery. And every Staples I've been in don't have the extra large lids needed for records
  20. Hi Chris and Marcelle. We'e already spoken on the phone but again it is a sad day but fully understand your reasons. It's been a pleasure to work with you, DJ for you several times and support you in what you've done. The performances of The Fabulous Peps and Ronnie Walker will stay with me for a very long time. Hope you both enjoy your time now as "punters" and you both know you are more than welcome at Lifeline. See you both in just over a weeks time!!
  21. without me reading three pages of definitions....have you all reached a conclusion on the definition of modern
  22. I had two for singles and one for lps arrive the same day as despatch. Gotta say better than I imagined. These are for home storage so the little bit of play not an issue really, more than happy with them and they can go anywhere.
  23. Bloody hell, I remember the Paddocks Club. We drove down and couldn't find it...dumped the car at St Pauls and got a cab there. Went back for car at about 4 in morning and got pulled by police
  24. The Soul Police have a new weapon in their fight against sh*t dj's who will be the first recipient will this become a badge of honour amongst shite dj's like it has the hooligan element of this country
  25. I personally remember Andy Dyson spinning this before Butch but regardless every tom dick and harriet wants it now. whats wrong with the top dj's finding summat else to play rather than everyone hammer one particular track to death as in this case the scene would be far better off and fresher with dj's playing different records, suppose thats a different arguement in a different topic though!
