  1. I think it was $511.99 top be precise. Think the other one couple of weeks ago which from the photo was roughly about as rough was approx $750
  2. Good to see this getting some use since I posted it Here's another for someone who's chewed your ear for two hours after taking too much sherbert and you just can't get away
  3. couple of Lil Major Williams too, one last night went for just over $500.
  4. 500 Frank Wilson's pressed Who's Terry Christian anyway?
  5. Looks good Mike, uploaded Lifeline details for Saturday. Took about two minutes to fill in. Move it over now if you want my opinion, will stop all the nonsense that is used to promote venues currently. If not at least have this one on the front page and the old one where this new forum is.
  6. both cheap if you ask me considering how rare it is and the quality.
  7. Mike should close em altogether and send you in the chat room at least this topic by and large is on topic.
  8. must get this one downloaded and onto the player, all the interviews very interesting and informative and no doubt this one no different. Got the lp and few singles myself, will dig them out and have a listen today along with the interview.
  9. I'm not stuck in the past but still think your statement is a load of b*ll*cks.
  10. Terra Shirma was a front for the brothers who set up paper companies and sold shares to get money. Sure I also read/heard they laundered money through the companies. Dunno how Matt can say it's an unpopular record the last few years It still commands a four figure sum and it has and still does pack the dance floor regardless of what some say about the record.
  11. It's also on the detroit lost soul series Goldmine did with some unissued stuff of his as well, Uphill Climb To The Bottom I think. PS Apologies if already mentioned
  12. Quality control? It's no different today. There was plenty of crap back in the day, it was just they had a far bigger pool of quality than say the last 10/15 years. I agree with you about the Dean Barlow and where it should be left but to many others it's quality, it packs the floor, there were many records like this back then as well. As for completely over-rated Shrine stuff, some yes but wasn't Searling playing some of this over-rated rubbish too.
  13. will PM address.
  14. Welcome back to Soul Source Ian. I think no matter what you did, no matter how good some would find reason to slag it off or put it down just because of who you are and your reputation. Me I don't care, if it's good it's good, if it's sh*te then move on. I didn't like the way SWONS was done origianlly but can't deny that it was a great effort and it gave the artists some recognition, I do though look forward to the re-edited DVDS. We haven't always seen eye to eye and I've no axe to grind, hopefully your contribution to Soul Source can be a positive one and we can share in your undoubted knowledge and experience, after all thats what some of us are here for, to continue learning about this music of ours.
  15. On first listen of There Is A Place I would have said Epsilons. After listening to second track not so sure
  16. You'll be on about the taxi driver, forget his name right now. Been rumours for long time that he has a copy. Was rumours years ago of couple of copies on west coast of America as well but probably just that.
  17. If memory serves me correctly, Ron Murphy got the second copy after placing an ad in local press asking for former employees of the pressing plant. This copy then went to Martin Koppell and then to Kenny via Tim.
  18. $50,000 I think, or was it $25,000 f*ck knows, Tim turned it down anyway
  19. Was given/borrowed by Motown to Tom Dieperro who moved it onto Simon Soussan and then to Les McCutcheon. All the rest ordered by Gordy to be destroyed by the pressing plant as far as I'm aware.
  20. Frank Wilson kept a couple of copies? Is that tongue in cheek? If not don't think he did keep any copies. He offered Tim a large amount of money for a copy.
  21. No but there's one on JM's site BOOT HERE and ORIGINAL HERE Original plain yellow label, boot has two parallel lines across it.
  22. Me behave? You're the one being mischievous Since when has Northern Soul been just soul, not while I've been on the scene it hasn't. Pop with the right beat has always been played.
  23. If you like. Plenty of bad examples of what northern soul was or still is.
  24. if something is played at Northern Soul nights that makes it a Northern Soul record doesn't it Doesn't the term describes a scene and not a particular music style as Northern Soul is made up of many genres and styles.
