  1. Cheers pal, just wondering then why a 12 and not a 7" if same take
  2. Is it the same take Sean or extended take?
  3. the one on popsike was from ebay July 07...$5657
  4. yes on United. Scan from Popsike....
  5. Personally prefer Somebody To Love on MIOB, far cheaper too.
  6. Same here only earlier, got both Constellations for around £15 in the 80's, white demos, which was all you saw then really, and both around in quantity and easy to source. Demand still high for both but shouldn't be too hard to get a copy.
  7. worth that in pounds IMHO. Been one of my top ten records since the day I first heard it. Mid tempo soul at it's best.
  8. didn't it make the charts? do pretty well too? Didn't Kev Roberts have something to do with it?
  9. Driving back from Scotland Saturday morning the show around breakfast time played some Levi. Later that morning about 8.30 Brian Matthew played Lynn Randell Stranger In My Arms.
  10. The Pearls wasn't it?
  11. There's an old topic HERE it has some of the unissued stuff from the Roulette Years cd in the topic.
  12. great cd it is too Eddie there's four killer unissued tracks in the middle of the cd as well as Flashback, again as you say bargain price, about 7 quid on amazon. Ion, hope you are well. A mate of mine has an acetate of the "Put Some Love Into My Life" and "Show Me That You Miss Me". Both without artist credit but we both thought it was Derek Martin, both Teddy Randazzo productions...Razzle Dazzle. Kenny Burrell also has the "Show Me That You Miss Me", was covered up as Billy Woods and he was surprised when I told him what it was when he played it me
  13. either jealous or feeling inferior Simon
  14. Been away couple o days and only just seen this. what time, which show???? is there a listen again facility????
  15. will be worth it for the boot guide alone, and for reference of course.
  16. The studio acetate take is by Jimmy Georgantones.
  17. the better version is the 4 larks - another chance
  18. I think if you re read it Brett I agree that I love the challenge of trying to find out what a cover up is but I keep any info I might have/get etc to myself and not blab it all over a public forum. If you had a record covered up, one you'd spent a lot of money on you'd be none to pleased if it was uncovered on a forum. And as for the crap about not giving the real artist the credit....the real artist would probably never know his or her record is being played and it's hardly gonna make much difference to their bank balance is it. Do those that pay money for records give a percentage to the artist out of respect and to give them some recognition....like hell they do I bet the majority of those listening, dancing to and buying records couldn't give sh*t about artist recognition
  19. the cd is the live recording from the Rocket of Butch's set, thats where the soundfile in refo soul comes from. Andy always plays the other side, more so that Foolish Girl.
  20. yes it is played out, cover up of course and a nighter biggie if you like.
  21. I don't mean anyone in particular Dave, and besides you've given no hints in this topic or other topics of a similiar ilk from what I recall. LIke I said if I have or had any info in the past I've kept it to myself firstly out of respect of the DJ and secondly it could give me the edge in finding one. I agree if a record is rare it will stay rare but the record hounds like Andy and Butch although their conmtacts are far greater than most of what us mere mortals know they don't know everyone. It's hard enough finding new records and when someone does find one keep it exclusive. LIke I said there will come a point soon when the top DJ's won't bother anymore cause of what goes off on public forums and just keep the records for themselves which would be a shame. If you know what a record is great, but keep the info to yourself and get hunting like others did in the first place.
  22. I've always loved the challenge of finding out what a cover up is Harry as well BUT I always kept the info to myself in the hope I'd find one and out of respect to the DJ who is playing the cover up, not blab the info or make remarks that hint to what it is (title or artist etc) on a public forum. I read this topic and similiar topics and seen cetain remarks from DJs but if it was their record they wouldn't be too happy. You have to wonder sometimes why the top DJ's and collectors bother to find new stuff when there always someone trying to be clever on a forum
  23. Steve G has one and Kitch as well I think. All bar two via Andy D.
  24. The Imaginations on Fraternity were from Cincinnati.
