  1. I doubt it would make my top 500 to be honest. Great as a newie back in the late 70's no doubt but it's tiresome now, so overplayed. If it wasn't for the fact it is so rare and all the hype etc surrounding it I doubt DJ's would give it a second look now.
  2. don't think I've seen too much of a difference when seen listed for set sale or in a record box.
  3. 1978 was when it was first played wasn't it?
  4. You haven't been looking hard enough. It is as rare as hens teeth Tony granted but I promise you a mate of mine has had one maybe two off e-bay. I distinctly remember the first about 3 years ago cause I'd just saved all the relevant places to look on e-bay in his bookmarks, that night one of the first he found was Paul Kelly. I think he has had another since plus the one to another buyer on just recently.

  6. The Upset has been on a couple of times, my mate got one off there two or three years ago.
  7. Whats the point? Most are now dead, others probably too old to travel now and they might not be able to play like they could. It would be like seeing the four tops with just one of the tops, disappopinting
  8. Any chance of some current plays from the up coming DJ's, might get them some work if promoters knew what they played. Many promoters won't give someone a set on word of mouth or some recommendation from their mates. Do they have something to offer that isn't there already???? Lifeline always on the lookout for up coming DJ's with something to offer.
  9. several documentaries about Motown on radio 2, some have been aired some to come. https://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/documentaries/motown_index.shtml
  10. I can see the Turbines on Cenco as a buy it now, can't see a Fred and the Turbines??
  11. Dunno if already mentioned as I haven't read all posts but I don't know if anyone listens to radio 5 live but about 3.00pm this afternoon Simon Mayo did a 50 years of motown bit, Martha Reeves, Richard Street and others on the show. Missed most as I was getting loaded at the time Heard Simon talk to Dennis Coffey on the phone mind.
  12. I thought it was cheap compared to the one priced $1899 on another site Hope you find one Pete. If you find two at a reasonable price giz a shout
  13. might be one here Pete https://www.bossybooklets.com/936433124.html
  14. will have to record this. There's a 5 minute clip HERE
  15. The ones that have the wrong track on have Tony Galla In Love rather than Southbound Freeway. Southbound Freeway does exist with proper track as well. previous topic HERE
  16. please pal, chalky@mailme.co.uk
  17. they obviously aren't thinking at all Matt JUst done a quick search of internet and found several copies, from as little as $12.
  18. There was also an Ex- copy for around £50 this year on ebay too.....I know it will never be sold for this by any dealer but it isn't far off the mark in the real world IMO. Anyone who pays £200 for such a common record wants their head looking at IMO. I mean it's up for sale on a regular basis somewhere or other. As good as it is I just think f*cking hell not again when I hear this now, shame really that quality records have to be hammered until people simply sick of them. Can think of records that are far far harder than Ruby Andrews that only fetch around £50.....Wallace Johnson on Sansu for instance.
  19. Happy New Year to you Russ I can't remember it so has anyone got a clip to listen to. Odd names to cover it up as, I mean Sandra Stephens and Voices Inc don't really sound alike to me?????
  20. which Sandra Stephens cover up?
  21. Temptations - Loneliness Made Me Realise It's You That I Need and I Want A Love I Can See. I bet we could do a decent chart of unreleased material.... Originals - Suspicion Temptations - Forever In My Heart Contours - Jealousy
  22. If you wish to reserve anything off the list e-mail Andy @ Dysonsoul@aol.com or send him a PM via Soul Source, he's under Dysonsoul.
  23. It's a record called It Depends On Your Point Of View by the Blue Jays. Simsy was trying to say in response to your "its not very good" that it "Depends on your point of view".
