  1. My comment wasn’t aimed your way mate or anyone in particular. It is just another of those records you hear too much IMO, records do need a rest especially when the pool is it seems for choice is diminishing All good here! Like wise I hope and your good Lady. The price for CH has been heading north for some time now, previously fetched four figures or very close.
  2. If I didn’t hear Gene Toones for ten years it wouldn’t bother me. A great record hammered to death.
  3. out of the bag? It hasn't been underground for decades, the last proper underground period was probably the 80s
  4. When you remember to take them

  6. I didn't start it that was Andy & Mick, I promoted it for them and Djed at every night bar two.
  7. you'll have to play it -10 I did have a go last time Saus played it a few years ago
  8. Seen a few in recent times, one not so long ago that went fairly cheap. Can't say I've ever heard anyone else play it out though? Heard it on a couple of radio shows.
  9. Truly remarkable book. It does say on the listing they may not ship to the UK and to contact the seller. Shame they can't set up a download?
  10. and he got his answer
  11. I don't know what they are flapping about for either, if this is the highlight of Djs sets then they need to take a good look at themselves. It's a played out hammered to death oldie. No wonder the scene is stale and getting boring.
  12. Looking forward to the releases. James Lately and the Tomangoes are just fantastic Just great to see the reactions of those involved with these releases as well, what it is all about really
  13. One of the best Northern records EVER, Butch's Del-Larks
  14. On this weeks show Dean is in conversation with Richard Searling.
  15. Funnily enough I pulled the LP for something else but anything for you mate
  16. Given what has trickled out on ebay and what was in the hands of sellers at Austin etc a mate reckons there was more than 25. Regardless it doesn't appear to be affecting the price as buyers don't seem to care for some reason. The avarice mentioned in another topic of buyers and sellers.
  17. most can be had from a few quid to around a tenner
  18. Hi Shirley, uncannily similar. She has a great voice, an LP I've yet to pick up. Looking forward to the Elvis movie as well and will look out for her, she has a great voice.
  19. Lp track or two….
  20. Some have definitely turned up. At least 25 but a mate reckons i to three figures. ebay sellers feeding them out, they were at Austin for $800 as well.
  21. 10.000 easy IMO. Just look at the output of Detroit without even looking at Motown. 100s of labels in one city alone during the peak in the 60s. Then you have the major cities such as Chicago, Philly, LA, Washington. The number of labels alone must run well into 4 figures.
  22. It is far from credible though to use as a guide, the prices are all over the place. Just look at the record in question that sparked this and as I said far too many have deserted ebay because of all the costs, postal issues and rising issues around fraud/theft.
  23. What Blackpoolsoul posted is what Jo posted Sunday or Monday. Since then there has been a full apology from the Jubilee Committee.
  24. The northern scene with its blinkered outlook to format is depriving itself of some outstanding music. Just look at what has come from the vaults and now on cd.
  25. Its a mistake as far as I am aware. Her first Lp was 2017 on Expansion and like Mark says I doubt this track would have been missed by everybody.
