    I don't care how far a dj has travelled or if he or she is local as long as they use some imagination and offer something else that all the others aren't already playing. Usually I prefer to travel but if the music policy is what suits me near home then so much the better.

    cheers Reg, just checked, It was called Legends and was about the British Invasion or words to that effect. I've just checked the sky plus and I recorded it first time it was shown on BBC 4

    Not all Northern folk.....personally I can't understand all the (so called) dj's who ignore the many northern/soul records for retro sounding pop music. and shouldn't this topic be in freebasing? This section is All About SOUL.

    to me that is just an oldie...70's northern if you like but wouldn't think of it as modern. Is there any out and out modern that has crossed over to the northern rooms with any great success in recent times?

    I heard that too and that Ray Agee wasn't aware that it had been released either. Nowt new there, many artists unaware their material had seen a release. When we first met Don Gardner and he was shown Cheating Kind for the first time he said he wasn't aware it had been released.
