  1. I've got some flyers somewhere in the garage I'll have a butchers for them.
  2. Good little venue the Travellers. Was a resident there. Hard to make out the faces on phone at minute will have decent look when I get home. Know I was spinning the track on Frog around then, please come back, but dunno if that was how it has been edited or part of Lesley' s set?
  3. Jimmy Seals was covered up as the Moving Parts back in the 80's. Sounds like a boot the record in question.
  4. he might have been a joke to some but he still had his voice. He was still a great talent even over weight but at the end of the day it was vegas and he was a showman, what vegas is all about. My favourite singer away from soul music. He paved the way for popular music. I've quite a few dvd's of his shows from the 70's including his last ever show.
  5. 3 look forward to it Rob. I've hardly got any of me from years ago.
  6. does the one who went the most often get a badge
  7. I'll find the flyer when I get chance as you can't quite see it all on the scan. Good to see you too mate....See you at Easter
  8. I wouldn't mind hearing the radio interview (or any radio from Yarmuff). I didn't listen to much of the radio back then.
  9. I must have been hiding from camera Rob Never missed a Canklow and DJ'ed there quite a few times. Can't remember the actual dates for the Aqua, but I would have thought 92/93 maybe? Did John Kingan had summat to do with 'em. They were a Sunday night session but didn't last long if I remember rightly. PS I was given a photo of me at the Wilton on Friday from Sept '87 in Mansfield Did you ever manage to find any of me Rob? I've got 3 I think
  10. think there is a UK 45 but its a live version and no where near as good as the LP. The French 45 is the same as the LP.
  11. think these are the ones Patrinell did herself when she heard her record was going down a storm over here.
  12. I know all about supply and demand but I would sooner base my assumptions on other facts than often over inflated auction prices. Sure the super rarity you can't predict a price as clearly but for many many records then ebay and JM's auction isn't the best guide to a price. As I said lists, what's happening at all-nighters, the informed views of people on places like here carry more weight for me and has served me well enough over the years.
  13. you lot in the city should read some books on economics as well judging by the mess they got the country in....or did you realise that and edit your post accordingly So you say that the odd auction result not matter how inflated the price is the best guide to a records cost and demand? For me the actual shop floor is the best guide of all.
  14. I disagree, it isn't a guide to demand rising or falling at all. How often do you see a topic on here highlighting some pair of pillocks who are just bidding silly on an item. More often than not if you ask on here you'd get the same record for less. Keeping an eye on lists from dealers and what is being sold from dealers at venues is the best guide to both demand and cost.
  15. auction prices more often than not aren't a reliable guide for prices.......
  16. dunno about that Ady, the cd usually goes straight on the ipod so I can get me soul fix whilst working. Spending time away from home it would be a good read too. Maybe you can do a digital download of the booklets so can read on an ereader or the forthcoming Ipad?
  17. John Manship has or had them in stock.
  18. Mine arrived today as well, looks amazing the detail in there. can't wait for a proper look through it at the weekend.
  19. It was indeed the Cheshire Cat. I haven't looked for the flyer yet but I looked at the calendar Dave did and lo and behold there is a copy of the flyer on the January page of the 2000 calendar!! I will look for the flyer at the weekend!! The Kara-okeh night was 1993 Knew all these would come in handy one day
  20. I've seen it for around £400 but as said it's one you don't see too often
  21. Don't think Levine had anything to do with it back then.
  22. this'll be the knackered one from a few years ago, one of two on popsike...
  23. I'll see if I can find it at the weekend, if I still have it it will be in a box in the garage.
  24. Andy D's I can assure you isn't pretty damned f*cked, it was or is in pretty decent nick, more like ex+, both copies I've seen at Andy's. PS please refrain from spelling the whole swear word out, use a star/asterisk/anyother symbol!
  25. don't think so, sure I have the flyer somewhere. memory if serves me right says was in Stoke and Dave Evison if not involved DJ'ed.
