  1. Thank you
  2. Don't worry you haven't missed then. I asked Mark at MD and he said hopefully first week in September, being pressed tomorrow. Will be well worth the wait, Tomangoes, old school Northern with a flip that will be great for the sweet, lowrider down tempo crowd. The James Lately is excellent northern as well.
  3. No mate, soon I hope as I think the push to promote is beginning. @BackstreetniterJordan might be able to tell us more!
  4. No it’s a pop record
  5. This weeks guest local lads Neil Clarke and David Curry

  7. Thank you. I’m slaving away, through till Monday
  8. Thank you. I didn't know I was being accused of being a dinosaur? If I am it is quite laughable and whoever it is obviously doesn't know me. They only have to look at some of the playlists on this topic to know otherwise. Again thank you, glad you enjoyed it, makes it worthwhile others enjoy them as much as me.
  9. As the comment by Chatty was probably aimed at me given the names mentioned....I was at a venue this weekend just gone. I attend one or two a month work permitting, I work 4 on 4 off so work as many weekends as I don't. I did dance quite a bit Saturday, with many I danced too probably in the 500 (I have no idea what is in it btw). I have no desire to hear the top 500 week in week out having spent most of my nighter life promoting lesser played, semi and unknowns, that is still my outlook now, for some its like listening to the same episode of top of the pops every week, how boring. I do love the classics and that includes many of the top 500, some I don't, they are after all what I grew up with initially and what got me into the scene. I don't think I have been derogatory to the music, but like I said I prefer to hear something different on my nights out and have been vocal about this over the years. Some people/Djs just don't know when to give a record a rest, familiarity breeds contempt as they say. I didn't contribute to any of the Top 500s either.
  10. Some 70s and 80s August summer sizzlers to keep you even warmer on these balmy summer nights. Kicking off with a tribute to Lamont Dozier who sadly passed away yesterday, he also sees us out. 11. Tough to find on the French 45. It is on a couple of LPs.
  12. It’s not you I’m having a go at. I get cover versions but why do people have to think they are acceptable to play at an event? Northern Soul is eitist and driven by the rarities and exclusivity. Naff should be left to the muggles.
  13. me ears are bleeding! IS this a p*ss tek? If any Dj played these I would want my money back. Why do people feel the need to mess about with a scene that has been going so strong for decades with crap imitations?
  14. simply highlighting the difference so that the gets the issue he wants
  15. A year later mate the one with the Engineers name. Then on Cole around the same time if memory serves. "Am I Imposing" was early 00s. Early topics
  16. The first issue is the Rock Way issue that doesn't credit the arranger. The Dutch one is as far as I am aware a year later in 1976. Elijah Cole was one nutty fruit cake
  17. Last nights show, 4th AUGUST with special guest Deborah Cotton and Anthony Henson
  18. Bout right I though Johnny Praye, about what it’s sold for privately isn’t? Think last one I saw was £800? Could’ve missed a couple?
  19. Finger full is what he said but half a dozen really
  20. It sounds unfinished to me the 'Has" version
  21. Subjective I guess? Many don't like a harmonica in records. I don't particularly but I do prefer the take with it in, gives a bit more oomph.
  22. A real copy or an actual acetate? What label was the acetate? It is on Youtube now
  23. Black Wings Have.... Black Wings Has....
  24. There are two issues Black Wing HAS and Black Wings HAVE
