  1. I wouldn't say it was dreadful and Mark Kermode actually sort of enjoyed it. It is by no means a classic but it was enjoyable even if it is basically a remake of the first with a few added bits. The action scenes are great. I thought it was great, watched it three times now...or is it four?
  2. The reviews I've listened to say the film is pretty disappointing and is just a plug for a greatest hits album that will surely follow, I will still watch mind. There is an unreleased track or two on spotify of Whitney's since the film came out.
  3. Jimmy Radcliffe LATIAO in Italian and Gene McDaniels I think did Italian versions of one/some of his recordings.
  4. I think traditional would be a better phrase?
  5. I fully understand where you come from with regards to copyright etc, something I have always supported and shouted from the rooftops for artists and I fully agree with people paying their dues. I also take photos, usually acts I go to watch and have suffered from having them "stolen" and used for others own means. I really didn't see any issue with the OP from Alison as she was seeking permission and specified as such and really didn't see the need to be so critical. She has since clarified and hopefully draws a line under it and she gets the help she wants
  6. Double Soul could be Detroit, owned by Sammy Kaplan and Jerry -O (Murry) as far as I can ascertain, Jerry-O also involved with Boo-Ga-Loo. Boo-Ga-Loo publishing and the label Boo-Ga-Loo is I believe Detroit in the main but also has links to Illinois with distribution and Chicago. E-Rodney is a best known as a Chicago DJ. Other acts across the labels are Chicago acts though. I'd go with Chicago.
  7. Alison, you will find there are many who will be glad to help and most, unlike some, are very welcoming. As @Zoomsoulblue says Coops will probably help, he is out every week taking photos @coopsand a great guy as well, send him a PM. We aren't all miserable and unhelpful on here. I've only really taken photos of live acts so can't help with dancers.
  8. be good to see you again pal, been a while
  9. The first show of 2023, yesterday 5th January. Happy New Year to all who listen.
  10. She has said she is seeking permission. If permission is given then there isn’t a problem and no need for members to get on their high horse as usual. I don’t see anyone being pulled up for using images within the multitude of flyers used to advertise a venue. The case you quote has taken the image and reused it basically. A sculpture isn’t exactly replicating a photo but I get your point.
  11. She isn’t exactly reusing the photograph and has stated she is seeking permission from the owner. I doubt any copyright infringement would be broken? Are you on any other social media platform?
  12. I’m just being facetious mate. Just when ever something goes for serious money no one likes it
  13. It’s funny how records that are out of reach of the majority, ones most will never own are the worst records ever yet they ram a dance floor
  14. Mixcloud now charge £10 per month and I can’t afford it. The show page is on the basic plan where just ten shows are allowed. The rest go in to draft.
  15. Brad is from Burnley way, Colne I think he lives now? He was corresponding with Major Bill way back. Brad found many a good record in his time which he supplied to Djs.
  16. It's been massive for some years, went big at Lifeline and has always been rare and commanded big money. The reason everyone wanted Robert Thomas and the Rita Lee reissue os cause they couldn't get this one

  18. The Tribute to Lamont was shockingly bad, embarrassing. However, "When Motown Came To Britain" was excellent.
  19. Thanks for reminding me of the Lamont show. hopefully I’ll still be functioning.
  20. Its real, the stamp is that of the pressing plant, MSIco
  21. Last nights show, 29th Dec with myself playing some of my favourite releases from 2022.
  22. There is no evidence, some member on discogs as simply said they are the same with no evidence. I've asked the question on there how they can link two arstists with no proof. I Asked the guy to provide some proof but no reply. Will see if the fools behind discogs get back to me. Someone has met Al Scott and he was black.
  23. Thank you very much, appreciated
