  1. The Invitations was Feb 1967. The label in question came about in April 1968. There was a mixture of Black and Blue and gold releases on certain releases during the crossover period with certain plants using the black well into 1968. It would suggest the Invitations is a reissue and not one from the crossover of labels period?
  2. It is yes. It was never issued until the flip was reissued on this variant
  3. This week on the Sound of Soul, Dean and Gez are joined by Phil Shields. Two more hours of great soul music.
  4. If you look at MGM releases there are others that were released on both label variants, Eric Burdon and The Magistrates the first I could see but they were in 1968 and reissued almost straight away, not a year or so later.
  5. Yes….told you it’d been a long three days never seen this variant before, that label wasn’t in use at the time of release and wasn’t aware of any reissue? off to bed now to catch up on some sleep
  6. Just looked again and noticed "Little" in the title and different music publisher. Been a long three days with little sleep
  7. wasn't aware it had been boosted on this variant? Looks pretty much there same as other releases with that label variant, 1968/69 onwards.

  9. Give it a go, I have some I've just removed from discogs
  10. Do you mean something along the lines of discogs where we each have a shop?
  11. Took what sales I had listed down tother day.
  12. I have the lyrics from you I think with the scan.
  13. Those scans were uploaded 5 and 6 years ago.
  14. Probably into double figures now. There was three or four in New York at one time, same here, couple at least in Japan although I believe one is over here now. Andy Rix Rix got three copies from the group members/family Don’t think it did hence it now up for auction. It was £20000 on discogs if memory serves.
  15. Andy’s interview with Eddie Singleton can now be heard over at Soul Discovery. https://www.souldiscovery.co.uk/podcast/andy-rix-interview-with-eddie-singleton-of-shrine-records/
  16. Well the majority of div or cheque book Djs don't seem to want anything not en vogue or costing less than 4 figures
  17. can the messaging facility not be removed for new members until they are established or have some history?
  18. Dean and Gez are joined by none other than John Manship for another two hours of quality soul music.
  19. I could never understand the way he set Palace up in the past as he has proved his teams can play decent attacking football in the past. Having said that he had nothing to lose here and they needed wins so had to go for it...offence really is the best form of defence.
  20. New York label
  21. Big favourite here, one of my must listen to shows.
  22. at a guess it was the copy on Discogs not so long ago, Andy Killick's copy
  23. Great Lp. Not a bad track on it.
