  1. His name and address are on the listing.
  2. I sold one on eBay about 10 years ago. The winner had £200 on it. Lucky for him he won it for £60.
  3. I paid far less than that Tim mid 80's, 15 maybe 20, was pretty common. Guy's Geraldine and the Floorshakers "That's All I Need" cover up.
  4. I haven't seen the ad so wasn't aware who the artist was. I will google and have. Listen to her version. Whoever owns the rights to the track will get any monies due from the advert I would think.
  5. The Raelettes version isn't it?
  6. "Any J-zee? F*ck off listen to this"
  7. Wow, can't wait.
  8. Working ok on the iPad here.
  9. Isn't it his daughter who is now running family affairs?
  10. It is and always has been pretty popular, great dancer too.
  11. I was thinking of selling one but wasn't really bothered at £30 which is what I thought it was worth. Might stick a bit more on it now
  12. I have the Jan Jones, always thought they were boots. I reckon I will dig them out and stick em on ebay.
  13. It went pretty quick too. Great record.
  14. Other side isn't bad either, on the previous podcast of Guy's stuff.
  15. Paul DJ'ed at Lifeline when we were at the Fox so he probably played it there? Can't say for certain though. Alex Jones also DJ'ed at Lifeline before you made your appearance Marc but I have all on remembering what I had for breakfast these days let alone a record played at Lifeline in years gone by.
  16. Proffs still played though by at least three or four Dj's over the years. It will still be interesting to see if John Harris crosses over to the mainstream northern scene.
  17. I know what you are saying but Paul was selling it three years ago, he'd obviously been playing it longer to the rare soul crowd.as you rightly say Alex many years before and as Kitch says he was and still is under the radar of most but always plays a decent set of obscurities. Personally I can't see what the fuss is all about
  18. Been around a little longer than three years but Paul more or less brought it to wider acclaim. I think Kitch had it many years?
  19. Listening online in Abingdon, hopefully the stream will hold up for a change.
  20. They didn't all enjoy royalties if you do your research. Rolling Stones "last time" written by Jagger and Richards there's plenty more examples when you go looking for them.
  21. Posted on the Souther Soul forum. Would look good on any wall... https://www.etsy.com/listing/90681632/45rpm-record-poster
  22. Latest podcast (number 34 or 35 i think?) telling the Story of the Stafford Allnighters and a 7th featuring the sounds from Guy Hennigan. Almost 200 records featured of Guys so far, quite some turnover in just 2 to 3 years. Little tribute to the Cybermen as well https://www.soulunderground.co.uk/StaffordTOTW/files/992b512a047dae53a3d800b799f6f05b-35.html Vicky Styles - The Tears Won't Stop Falling - Odex Ghetto Boys - The Handwriting On The Wall - Tarx Chester Mayfield & The Casuals - Throw It Out Of My Mind - Game (Case Of Tyme - Going Out) Chester St. Anthony - Together - A&M (Chester Fields) Curtis King - So Nice While It Lasted - Columbia Debbie Rollins - Who Cares What People Say - Marion James - That's My Man - Jimmy Norman - You Crack Me Up - Little Star/Polo Wilbur Reynolds - Tenderizer - CB (Butch Baker & Mylestones - I've Only Got Myself To Blame) Mike Varo - Watch Your Step - Unissued Acetate Lee Bates - You Won't Do Right - Instant Sonny Childe - Love Is In The Air - Music Factory (Jaywalkers) Monroe Taylor - Proud Guy - Chesapeake Casinos - How Long Has It Been - Fraternity Jimmy Norman - This I Beg Of You - Samar Albert Jones - 15 Cent Love - Kapp Joe King - Speak On Up - Prix Soulful Two - Fi-Yi Dance - Pure Soul Music Ann Heywood - Crook His Little Finger - Hondo Crystals (featuring La La Brooks) - Are You Trying To Get Rid Of Me Baby - United Artists (Honeybees - Do You Want My Love) Donald Jenkins with Heart and Soul - Happy Days - Duchess Earl Gaines - Is It Worth Anything - HBR John Wesley & The Four Tees - Love Is Such A Funny thing - Melic Ozz & His Spurlings - Somebody To Love - MIOB (Franky jones - Need Somebody To Love) Master 4 - Love Has Taken Wings - Tayster Barons - I Got A Feeling - Etah (Taylor Brooks & The Emperors - Gonna Be Loved) Benny C Oliver & The Mellow Men - Make It Now - Ojobco (Ray Agee - If You're Ever Gonna Love Me) Victoria Williams & J.D. 23. Yes I saw Flynny's listing but the title is the cover up title so hopefully he will add some info when he reads this. I will check some notes too.
  24. Hi Kirsty. Yes I know the Beljeans backed LaBrenda Benn on some 45's. I was looking at the tape listings from the 80's with all the unreleased material on and it's just he Beljeans according to that. So maybe the acetate Robb had was just the Beljeans and added LaBrenda Benn because of the association on other 45's when he made the "joke" comment?
  25. "I've got A Right To Cry" is on the tapes listing as the Beljeans.
