  1. I will have a look to see if any later adverts Sean and upload, won't be till the weekend though. I did notice whilst going through the echoes from 1981 and early 1982 how few venues there was at times.

  5. Finally got round to Pat Brady who played some fantastic records throughout the 80's and had one of the best sets around IMO, as you will hear with this podcast. Hope you enjoy. 6. this was posted on here at some point....
  7. Sad news My sympathies and condolences to Frank's family and friends.
  8. The "x" is probably done by the distributer, usually done to show which side the DJ plays. He probably went through a pile so maybe why the "x" in the same place or similar place.
  9. £500 a good price, every price I've seen on a list or in a box have been between £300/£400. I prefer a price a dealer sells at rather than an auction price unless it is something that turns up once in a blue moon.
  10. I'm good mate, likewise I trust. There's many a record ignored simply because the flock are chasing the same guaranteed floor-fillers and don't have the imagination (or balls) to stray from the flock. Play safe, stay safe and get another booking
  11. 3-400? Fantastic record still not really had its day.
  12. Rita Lee nowhere near as good as Cressa.
  13. Major Bill Smith had his ear to the ground as it was and apparently clued up to what was going off over here and would release and re release stuff to suit apparently.
  14. Rita Lee also recorded it, later release. As did Robert Thomas. Cressa Watson is extremely rare. I only know of two copies of Cressa Watson in this country, Butch and Andy Dyson. Not saying there isn't anymore like, thats all I know of.
  15. That is the Wanderers, one of my favourite films. Also don't fook with the baldies
  16. Harold Melvin & Bluenotes feat Sharon Paige - The Blue Album.
  17. and the 5th Anniversary Oldies All-nighter Advert from January 31st 1981
  18. And a Top 10 from Russ from March 1981, Mick Smith from the 6ts and Peterboro' Nighters as well.
  19. Think there's definitely some Shill bidding going on.
  20. Just doing a few scans from some old Black Echoes and come across the 500th All-nighter advert and a photo of the Casino on the same page. Might interest some of you. And a scan of Richard's top 20 from March 1981
  21. Pied Piper for me Northern wise. From a soul perspective I would have put Bridges Knight and Eaton ahead of HDH.
  22. The Frankie Newsome worth a punt as well. Used to spin it out years ago.
