  6. Some great music in them there lists
  7. The record never floated my boat when it was first around and that hasn't change since, it's average at best in my opinion.
  8. I think he also went by the name of Johnny Parker recording for Ben Lee's labels in Philly.
  9. Mace sneeked a look at Andy's copy
  10. Credit where credit is due it was an Andy Dyson discovery. First played at lifeline around the time we we at the Bell.
  11. Interesting reading Steve, many thanks. More please
  12. It isn't always about us in the here and now, it is the legacy you leave behind for others to carry forward. I'm afraid I have to agree with Mark S, a lot of damage has been done and it is getting to the point where it is getting beyond repair. Surely folk can't keep on listening to the same records year after year? Did they go to a night club and hear the same top forty week after week, month after month, year after year whilst they had their 20 year sabbatical away from the scene they thought had died? They wouldn't have dreamed about it. Even the records that drip feed down from the proper all-nighter scene will dry up as many are getting totally disillusioned with it all and moving on to other things. If they want to dress in ridiculous clothes, some of the worst fashion items ever seen that is up to them, but sometime soon promoters are going to have to take a look at the bigger picture and introduce different DJ's and different records. There are thousands out there totally ignored, even from the era they claim to represent.
  13. and a cabbage
  14. Not a chaffinch or a finch, you can tell by the beak. Tis a Long tailed Tit.
  15. Got to say that is a bloody great photo. How long where you sat there waiting for that particular shot?
  16. Nice set
  17. There is a 5th Mick, more 70's feel with wah wah guitar, think that is what it is
  18. The Article has been done, should be on the front page, Andy Whitmore did it in the end. Might look at a podcast or two of Allanton records, punters choices of course.
  19. Weird listening to the podcast I don't think it is the right one yet I have the right one in the list of tracks I assembled the podcast from Bugger I guess I'll have to do it again just for accuracies sake
  20. I think I have the right take in the Dave Withers podcast in The Stafford Story Can you have a listen at the beginning of this podcast Robb and confirm? Dave Withers And Rod Shard: Forever In My Heart It is the take on the Originals Best Of cd released in 1999 I think as well.
  21. Pete I'm set up to record as long as I want. If you want some tapes converting let me kow and ill do them and put on cd as mp3 or whatever format you want. The tape player even turns over on its own so I just let it roll and cut the blank bit in the middle out and trim. Same for anyone else with tapes they want converting.
  22. One 60's one 70's if memory serves me correctly. Same recording though although they are different.
  23. Brad Lundy did it twice.
  24. Pat says it is Kenny Smth.
  25. T'is indeed Brian. I will post a recording of the flip when I get home next
