  1. Hi Pete hope you are well. I think that flyer for the four beat one, I think that date was cancelled, Belle Vue is it? Tony Smith will tell you for sure. Mucky Duck was a great venue. You are right though it was vibrant despite what those who weren't there say. I was doing basically two allnighters a weekend, plus bank holidays and at least one soul night which was usually the warm up for the nighter. Thanks everyone for the comments, I've more in the garage, I might get a bit of time later to add to it.
  2. Guy Hennigan spin at Stafford, sold to Ion then Tony Smith who then sold it to Carl Fortnum who still has it. Another turned up last year which Phil T won off eBay.
  3. Japanese cd first then the first legit release was Kent a couple of years ago as far as I am aware. The cd is where the first cuts were taken from, Eddie Hubbard's I think.
  4. not sure if it does, click on the flickr link in my signature, that should work.
  5. Have to say today's flyers are absolutely useless for making notes on. Who ever thought of glossy professional looking flyers
  6. I used to have them stuck or pinned up all over my room. Usually because they had some record or other info scribbled on them from a night out.
  7. Thanks Nick, long time no see and hope all is well. I've got many of your Scenesville flyers that I haven't scanned yet. Plenty more in the garage, just got to find the time to scan them.
  8. Any in particular? I think the year I added to the title so if you look on flickr you might see it? If not let me know any in particular and I will tell you.
  9. I scanned all these for the book that's just come out but none were used in the end. I thought I'd put them up for those who are interested. https://www.flickr.com/photos/crosseyedbear/sets/72157636285503745/
  10. Not splitting hairs Dave, I read it as though they all came from same source? Just stating they didn't and the labels were different. Here's Brenda one....
  11. I can't believe that is the same group who sang If I Had One Gold Piece!
  12. couple of patches as well for sale fiver each
  13. Weren't the others plain white labels though? I remember sorting them out into packs when Andy had a load left. 8 per pack I think but not all had suspicion as that had sold out.
  14. Colin Curtis podcast featuring Dave Welding with the Story of Soul Junction Records. https://colincurtis.podomatic.com/entry/2013-10-13T09_31_33-07_00
  15. https://www.dftmc.info/home.html I believe Keith Hughes has access to the files to compile the page. It doesn't tell you the amount of test pressings. For this particular record there is no info other than an acetate and test pressings, probably because they went "missing" from Motown? Info at https://www.dftmc.info/about.html Fantastic resource for Motown and nothing better out there really, everything you want to know
  16. According to the Don't Forget The Motor City website there is/are a test press(ings) and an acetate.

  18. Vinyl at a ten year high with regard to sales. Apparently kids are buying LP's with nothing to play them on but they get a download as part of the package. Might be something for the re-issue market to look at? Mind you they do charge £25 approx for a new release on vinyl!! https://www.nme.com/news/arctic-monkeys/73262
  19. Covers 33 do 250 and 400g sleeves.
  20. It has had plays bit of an oldie, Cleethorpes I think? I gave it a few spins again a few years ago.
  21. I will look tomorrow night or Friday, not been home much due to work.
  22. Believe it or not people can be involved in both, and other forums at the same time. I, like others use whatever site suits to get the information I need or get something out there, same in any other walk of life. Dunno what your problem is I'm not knocking soul source I still read and use it everyday, it is still the best site for soul but people use soul source and Facebook or whatever group or forum to suit their needs and time.
