  1. As far as I'm aware Ady Pountain the first with this at Yate and into Stafford.
  2. I know of 5 here, four if this went abroad.
  3. To some though it is far better than pleasant. I'm not saying it is worth 9k but to someone it clearly is. It is extremely rare as well.
  4. I want one of these LP's if anyone can help.
  5. Ady Pountain.
  6. Someone just paid 450 quid for a cracked copy of Bill Bush. It was a proper crack repaired with glue. It was also warped and off centre but was repaired. Why on earth would someone pay that kind of money for a record that is basically f*cked? It is a lot to shell out hoping for a better copy. Madness.
  7. The rare one on LaSalle, Lynn Terry? Glad it has stayed so rare, poor record.
  8. Thats her Knocker, cheers. See you at the winding wheel over Christmas if you are going.
  9. err check out the five posts prior to yours
  10. I agree the completely comedy buy. I'd don't rate it that much more for a good un as there are plenty about in collections.
  11. This will soon be as much as one in decent nick..... https://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251399232914&item=251399232914&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466

This morning I've added the next installemnt featuring the records of Steve Smith who managed the "oldies" room for Dave. 14. I don't know how far they are down the line, I've not asked for a while. Maybe one of them will read this, if not I will ask Andy.
  15. If you mean Andy Dyson's/Nicola's? Won't be ready this year.
  16. I saw some sort of promotion for this recently, might have been soul brother? Sure it was via email from a store.
  17. Ricky Allen the future which one of your mates is playing this?
  18. Bidds gone all posh
  19. Most working mens clubs are not quality venues, they are sh*t holes. With upholstery 40/50 years old, torn and riddled with fleas. They might have been ok years ago but times change and people want a decent venue to spend their nights out. The only reason working mens clubs are used is because so called promoters putting on an event so they can Dj and get it for free. Promoters should invest in a venue and invest in their customers, not take them for granted.
  20. It was big at Stafford etc Chris.
  21. I think what gets peoples back up is the fact that a record goes for twice what it was and that is then accepted by many as the norm and not a one off auction. They disregard all precious sales, often even current sales listings. Johnny Gilliam I'm sure a bit of effort would have secured a sale a lot cheaper. Yes he was the manager of the Marvelettes, think he was maybe a staff writer as well for a time?
  22. I don't really have a clue about UK stuff Rod, never collected it really. How often does a mint example like this turn up?
  23. Last Lou Ragland I saw up for straight cash was around £1000 so what John got isnt that far away. As for who won, why should they step forward? Yes we all like to know where certain records end up but at the end of the day no one else business really.
  24. It was a bit later Tony if i remember rightly, 91ish, maybe a bit earlier. gary Welsh was still running thorne in 1989/90. And as far as i can remember it was JOTS that was played first, certainly what I heard first.
  25. Yep see Denise, £12 per 100 I think.
