  1. One went through I think ebay for around 8k if remember rightly, dollars or pounds can't remember. It doesn't show on popsike or Collectors Frenzy though.
  2. Ray Agee £3011 some time ago, before the site revamp.
  3. There has been at least three up for sale or offers on here the last 12 months.
  4. One just sold one for somewhere in-between those figures, went pretty quick too.
  5. Didn't Dave Raistrick find/play it first?
  6. If it is RA it wouldn't be the first time that an artist has completely forgotten about something recorded back in the 60's
  7. He may well have said he wasn't aware of the 45/recording, was a long time ago when it was talked about. I don't remember him saying explicitly that it wasn't him though. I guess we will never know for sure.
  8. BB is probably the term used after the size of the shot used in a BB Gun I would assume.
  9. A mate once told me after he met Ray Agee that he wasn't aware the 45 had been released. I doubt it was a bootleg and as I said in the topic in the link it wouldn't be the first time a record was released without the artists knowledge or consent.
  10. I'm sorry but £220 plus for the "Lady" release is plain barmy. It was and still is IMO a cheap record, it was £30 for years and years. "Lazy" is the rare one and as said it looks like someone is getting a little mixed up.
  11. Recorded in the 70's and left unreleased.
  12. Thanks Mike and seasons greeting to you and everyone else.
  13. Card sleeves can be quite harsh on your records over the years, especially those that get a lot of use. Paper sleeve is just an added layer of protection.
  14. And for those who haven't visited the site for a while there are now galleries for flyers/adverts and photos. Photos... https://www.soulunderground.co.uk/photos/ Flyers & adverts https://www.soulunderground.co.uk/flyers/
  15. P.S. Just counted and there are so far 45 podcasts.
  16. Thank you so much for the kind words Pete, means a lot. I wouldn't expect anyone to like all the records, even I don't like all the records but it is about a bit more than that, or I would like to think it is. Stafford like any other venue had its share of turkeys but they have to be included for accuracy. Again thanks. P.S. Somehow I don't think you will like the last one or the next
  17. 18. To Mike and the Mods and everyone in Soul Source land, hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and 2014 brings you all you wish for.
  19. Nothing to do with politics John. We are talking about a well respected soul night or nighter here, not a local soul night where you would expect cheesy classics and standards.....Aretha, radio 2 fodder as good as it is not a major UK all-nighter spin.
  20. I'm referring to them all Ted. If it is a classic oldies soul night then no it isn't a problem, although I wouldn't be happy travelling 150 miles to hear you play this to be honest. I can hear this at a local venue, or records like it which I don't have a problem with. The Miracles may have been inspiring once upon a time Pete but it isn't inspiring no longer when you have heard it countless times. I'm not saying it isn't good and the right venue not a problem but the question was at a respected nighter or soul night, by that I take it to mean one that has a reputation nationally with people expected to travel to hear the guests.
  21. As good as these records maybe it is hardly inspired or inspirational DJing is it? They are timeless classics (selling in their millions some of them) and not what I personally wish to hear at an all-nighter. No wonder I fined myself travelling less and less.
