  1. Scott Harlow runs the midwest45 website, not sure if he is the owner of Indiana45's? Scott's email is scottdharlow@yahoo.com
  2. Lenny Harkins played the original acetate last night, sounded great.
  3. Martha Jean Love is a cover up name.
  4. I said it earlier. John will pay the vat on his earnings, 20% of 20%. The seller will get 80% if Johns fee is 20%.
  5. Many DJ's had the 45, many bought them both together in the 80's/early 90's so for me it wasn't a case of anyone particular DJ making either Constellations a big record but the fact that many had them and it/they was played everywhere you went form the 80's up to the present day.
  6. Little Ann "What Should I Do" simply brilliant.
  7. got a release via LP.
  8. Which record, Constellations?
  9. Along with the other Butch discovery of the time Jesse James "Love Is Alright" two of the greatest.
  10. Long time since I was at school but 20% of 1000 left 800. Either price is a lot more than I sold it for mid 90's
  11. Is that Sean stood up at the back? Kenny as well.
  12. Originals "Suspicion" and the Temptations "Forever In My Heart" two of the very best.
  13. Just John's commission comes off the price doesn't it? John pays VAT on his earnings as far as I'm aware?
  14. That night at the Dome, was it that night he told us all who the Patti Austin cover up was the Ad-Libs (You'll Always Be In Style)? Or was it another time he happened along?
  15. IDNAY, unknown in 1993? Far from it, it was well known and in every sales box 80's into the 90's, cheap as well. Both were cheap in the 80's.
  16. And Flynny's https://capitolsoulclub.homestead.com/sidneybarnes.html
  17. It was 2003 when he appeared. here is Steve G's interview with him...... https://m.mixcloud.com/steve-guarnori/sidney-barnes-interview-2003-on-soul24-7/
  18. Boomerang isn't just crossover and modern. It features more than its fair share of 60's as well, right across the board. You have to know your crowd, book the right DJ's and get the mix right, have faith in your DJ's. Not everyone wants a formulaic night out, many like a bit of variety. if you don't like a particular policy at a venue then keep away, that's my philosophy.
  19. It was radio 2 record of the week few weeks ago.
  20. It doesn't work for you don't you mean? Not everyone prefers it how you want it to be.
  21. Quite the opposite, I would expect quite a few to hit the market now. If I still had this it would be going to John today cause I know I couldn't get that sort of money, here or anywhere else.
  22. That's what I've always thought.
  23. Many studios you could walk in a cut a record. Many just wanted the thrill of having a song on vinyl to begin with. Ambition probably came later.
  24. What does the stamp in the run out say, can see a bit of it?
  25. Bloody hell that is a shock. Not seen Mona for a few years since I moved away from Chesterfield. Sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and condolences are with his family.
