  1. The Fantastics on MGM, Deram, Bell, and Bus Stop were Jerome "Romey" Ramos (lead), John Cheathom, Donald Haywoode, Richard Pitts, formerly of the R&B Group The Newtones on Baton and the Soul Group The Strangers on WB. Ramos, Cheathom and Haywoode were formerly of the R&B Group The Velours on Onyx, Cub etc. The Fantastics on Impressario, Copa & SS7 were Jethro V Caldwell (lead, Willie Parnell (second lead), later of Archie Bell & Drells; Eddie Webb, later of Masters of Soul; Bobby Williams. There is a Fantastics on DMD the Detroit group Robb refers to and another on Hit. above courtesy of the Soul Harmony Singles (not always 100% accurate before you have a go at me )
  2. Here is the flyer of yours Jerry...
  3. It's a tough one to find and seems to be a bit in demand these days, why I dunno as it would probably clear most dance floors and no one would keep up Good luck.
  4. Here he is again from 1999 along with Shifty and Bob Hinsley. https://www.mixcloud.com/Chalkster/butch-shifty-and-bob-hinsley-at-the-100-club-6-2-1999/
  5. As an aside to the unreleased soul topic here is Butch working his magic at the 100 Club. The first one from 2001 featuring many of his one off acetates, Jean Carter, Jean Wells, Martha Jean Love and the Just Brothers. https://www.mixcloud.com/Chalkster/butch-at-the-100-club-2001/
  6. What is the United 4 Matt? Do you mean the Inspirations (another Butch acetate?)
  7. Yes he has but you can hear him play it at the 100 Club from mix cloud page..... 15 mins 20 odd seconds in https://www.mixcloud.com/Chalkster/butch-at-the-100-club-2001/
  8. The Brits the best of British, thats a laugh. It shows what a sorry state the charts are in when Bowie is best british solo male. They say they want to make the Brits like the Grammy's but it has no credibility cause its been fixed by the companies all these years.
  9. Guy had an acetate of the Jaggerz, a good verison of No time For You, was sold on Manship's auction a few months ago, same group?
  10. What size is the jiffy bag Pete. Usually a C followed by a number I think?
  11. I will be ordering jiffy bags when i reorder some mailers. I guess if you use a jiffy bag you could do away with the extra card stiffeners?
  12. A mate had the monorays for around a ton and couldn't shift it. 370 is barmy.
  13. You se many ebay ads etc that say they won't ship to x,y,z countries. I charge £1.50 first class, £2.50 recorded which I think is fair. Even if I use a second hand mailer it is inside a postage bag which is about 40p.
  14. i would have said 100 to 150?
  15. I haven't said it wasn't very good. But you hear stories of records goi g missing all the time. Personally I've never had a problem, if I don't know the seller I ask around and get a recommendation.
  16. Thats mad. Might not sound a lot for the odd package but add it up over a year if you post on a regular basis then you are losing a fair bit of money.
  17. Do you not charge for packaging Pete, must cost you a fortune every year if you send majority first class.
  18. Post to Europe first class and you are asking for trouble, post it recorded. I'm not blaming buyers by the way, just heard so many stories of records going missing with no recompense because it was posted first class., the fault of the post office over there more than likely although not in all cases. Many dealers won't post to France, Italy, Spain, Russia.............
  19. I priced the cost of a 45 a few weeks ago.... UK First class = £1.20 Recorded = £2.15 up to £50 in value. Special delivery = £6.35 Europe First class = £3.50 Int. Signed For = £8.80 up to £50 £11.40 up to £500 Rest of the world up to £50 worth of records is £9.80 plus your P&P. Packet up to the value of £500 is £12.40 plus your P&P. All the above is postage only , no packaging.
  20. Had to laugh at what it said on one site..... The 40-year-old entertainer performed his song “Happy” during the show, but also gave the crowd a taste of his fan favorite song “Get Lucky” in the beginning of the performance. Pharrell will be heading to the Oscars in a couple weeks where he is nominated for Best Original Song for “Happy,” which was written for the movie Despicable Me 2. Nothing like credit where credit is due.....
  21. There was a request for dancers on FB I think.
  22. Butch has played it at 100Club and Lifeline and I guess othe places he has graced e decks occasionally.
  23. It's the Yorkshire blood, straight to the point. Don't doubt his product but he soon changed tack when he knew there was money to be made out of the Brits.
  24. It was Tefteller who did nothing but slag soul collectors off for many years, especially the Brits, and other collector of other genres.
  25. Pretty sure it is Jason Yoder who runs indiana45's.
