None taken. I know full well how the majority don't care, that they don't mind listening to records repeated and a limited playlist. I get little free time these days and it isn't how I wish to spend what time I do have. But it isn't talent playing a reissue when three of his fellow DJ's have spent several thousands of pounds to obtain the original, it is a complete lack off respect IMO, not sure how Ginger, Andy and Sean feel about it? There really is no need to play any reissues at any event as there are many competent DJ's out there with the real thing. If the Dj who played the reissue hadn't played it I doubt very much your crowd would have realised nor cared whatsoever as they would have heard it via one of the others. I realise and understand your crowd don't care that they are listening to reissues, I was simply questioning your reasoning behind it when you acknowledged three of your Dj's had a real one, it wouldn't sit comfotably with me either as one of those Dj's nor as a promoter to see this happen.

I fully understand your point of view Kev and Goldsoul does what it says on the tin and why we keep,having the same arguements on here is beyond me. But you said it yourself you have several DJ's with the real thing so allowing the playing of reissues doesn't make sense. There are plenty of DJ's who could and can do the job with originals without compromising your publics enjoyment. at the end of the day isn't it better for a promoters image and reputation that the original release is played?

The handles on then swan are the same now, the one I have is about two years old and is off centre an not a problem to carry, I use it for my sales stuff. There isn't much between blakka and swan quality wise just the price. I wouldn't swap either though for the magma I use now. It is by far the most comfortable of the lot to carry.

Sorry but Swan flight are a different class for not much more and they will make whatever size you want. I currently use a magma case, far better, lighter etc.......

I guess we will never know the demographic of those who are bidding. Ebay seems more than dodgy these days with shill bidding and mates bidding up prices. Of the legitimate bidders it would be intersting to see their age & the reason (for the collection or DJing etc), are they following trends and in man cases why not go to forums and request a want rather than pay what are perceived as inflated prices.

It isn't a quest to vary playlists is it, its a quest to follow the flock, the sheep mentality. As younsay above a year ago it was a £30 record, demo £60 or £75 maybe. If the person whomsaw fit to pay so much had come on eher and offered a ton, he would have got an offer of loads of copies. As for who is involved in the prductions I doubt most even bother to find out.

Why buy another copy? You migh as well save your money play them frm a cd and have the real one going round the turntable

Think I paid a fiver back in the 80's. Tim Brown sold a demo either earlier this year or last for £30. That is all it was and cheaper for years. Some loon paid a fortune and all of a sudden everyone wants serious money for a record that in the scheme of things is pretty common.

I'd have to agree it is more likely a four figure item these days, especially seeing some of the records fetch huge amounts that are nowhere near as rare.
