  2. Unless they ars selling one for 300 odd quid
  3. That looks terrible. Has he stuck one label onto of another? No doubt someone will buy it, they will think it looks convincing going round the deck.
  4. If DJ's aren't afraid to play some of the new releases featuring unreleased stuff then there is plenty to keep all-nighters fresh. 4 from the Onederful archives with more promised.. Sharpees - Take Me To You Leader Otis Clay - Show Me What You Say Ringleaders - Grin and Bare It/I've Got To Find My Baby As said the Valdons 45's Gene Washington & The Ironsides - Got To Get Through To You/Don't Throw Your Love Away has made waves the past few months Ebony Diamonds - I'm So Lucky could do the same as well. Some great previously unreleased soul been released the past few months.
  5. The Modern Soul of the time has been neglected for a wee while so time to redress the balance. The first of three podcasts featuring the modern soul of Richard Searling from the time. 6. I agree although shipping not too much an issue, it is the customs fees and the highwaymen at the post office with their £8 for doing nothing.
  7. Lets hope so mate. Hopefully the press is simply a rerun with same matrix as well and not a repress
  8. That's good, one or two on here will be able to stock up ready for when they sell out.
  9. https://www.newtonnews.co.uk/northern-soul-in-newton-aycliffe/ a few of the scenes characters get a mention in the above article.

  12. No he isn't
  13. They didn't release it though did they
  14. Richard Searling told the story of the two companies trying to release this, both dealing with different executives at Revilot apparently. He also told of copies being delivered to Decca's Manchester distribution warehouse in readiness for release. The London release was withdrawn so how can it be a bootleg? All copies ordered destroyed but you can't account for light fingered plant workers.

  16. I don't think they do believe this do they? They are simply highlighting a problem with videos embedded in posts when viewing on a tablet or phone, which a large percentage do these days. As for apple, yes they stopped supporting flash and got behind HTML5 and rightly so as flash hogged so much of the device resources, now almost everyone has gone or going the way apple did. Even Adobe has or will be discontinuing development of flash technology for mobile devices as they know it isn't suitable.
  17. Debbie Curtis spoils a good record, her vocals are weak and terrible.
  18. Facebook if anywhere on social media/forums.
  19. I understand all the arguments but pressing is probably the wrong word as all records pressed at a pressing plant, it's probably become more legitimised due to ebay and people glossing up their adverts to make them look legit. It should simply be bootleg if it is illegal.
  20. But the Milton Wright is a legit first issue is it not regardless of how it came about? The same as Kent, Grapevine etc?
  21. Spot on Phil, most just don't get it, most aren't interested in the music per se. It wasn't just Rob though who had a willingness to push on, every DJ did, they all had individuality and a desire sadly by and large missing these days.
  22. I'd sooner see just the link personally then I have a choice to view the clip or not and not. It is no trouble clicking a link and opening a new page, it is often quicker than waiting for a page full of clips to load.
  23. Ady Croasdell first I remember playing this with any conviction covered up as Richard Temple back in the 80's. Andy Dyson as well as others mentioned also spun this in recent times.
  24. I've only heard it the odd time, no substantial plays. But I don't do many mainstreaM, Kings Hall type events so could have been played there but I haven't heard of any major plays.
