  1. I have that Kev, came out on two label designs too.
  2. As said it has been known about for a long time but it's rare, but pretty poor IMO, just too girlie for some and is it good enough for the dancer floor? It has had plays but nothing what you would consider substantial. Probably not worked for those who have had a copy and they have either moved it on for something better or put it on the shelf.
  3. He did the coloured and mutli-coloured boots of the likes of Eddie Foster and Sam Fletcher amongst others.
  4. Again that is your personal taste, others think different otherwise they wouldn't cover it or any record up and play it. There has been many cover ups not to my taste but I respect the DJ who has covered it and his reasons. It is nigh on impossible to get an unknown today. And one wonders why many of those at the sharp end offer no information on here when you read topics like this and previously Tommy and the Derby's.
  5. Nothing wrong with personal taste, its the hypocrosy on here that makes me laugh. If all those knocking the record found one today they would have a totally different opinion and would either keep it or sell it for a "daft" amount. Most of those knocking and doing their best to uncover records on here have nothing to do with the current all-nighter scene. I always kept my mouth shut, still do, if I found out what a cover up is in the hope of finding one, either for myself or make a bit of money.
  6. Andy got a copy early Lifeline's. Up util then it had been and still was a cover up for Butch, JJ Jackson.
  7. There are very few on this scene who actually do anything for artists, for the vast majority when it comes to second hand records it is about themselves, their event and as you say mate their greed for vinyl.
  8. Hardly here today gone tomorrow, it's been played since the early 90's by Butch.
  9. I've had more trouble with Germany than Italy, usually the courier service used there, its owned or part owned by Royal Mail I think, tossers.
  10. That will be first class and I wouldn't send anything to Italy unless tracked and /or sined for. I don't think they do tracked and signed for, just one or t'other. I think tracked and/or signed for or whatever it is they offer is around 8.50/9.00 quid.
  11. I, you or any seasoned collector only have to see whose site it is listed on to begin questoning the value. Many items he lists are considered overpriced by the majority. As said he will either sell it or not. I'm not sure what it is worth or what the few copies in circulation have sold for, maybe Steve will tell you but I do know it is rare. Will it turn up, who knows that is the risk any one takes when buying expensive or indemand records.
  12. seriously great list though.
  13. So all these crazy auction prices are down to you, you started it all
  14. Many think he is over priced, if they are they won't sell simple as that.
  15. Some serious record finders know what it is and it has not turned up. As for the practice of covering up been debated loads of times so no point adding to it. As for selling it covered up couldn't give a toss either way, out of my price range anyway, between the buyer and the seller at the end of the day, same as anything so I keep getting told.
  16. Butch covered it as Bettye Swann, Andy had it covered as Lorraine Rudolph I think.
  17. I know who it is and I can assure you it is rare. Andy Dyson discovered it, at least he was the first to play it, then Butch who I think got his copy from Andy. Don't know who Lee/Steve are selling this one for or if they got it from Andy?
  18. £40 but demand is keeping it at around £175.
  19. I read the sales were over 10,000. The record is pretty common in comparison to many that sell at a similar price.
  20. I would imagine just different pressing plants, or a different run with different coloured label. There is an all red on on there as well.
  21. Load of bollox about having to earn your way on the floor. Just get on there and do your thing. Watch what others do and then try and do the same, practice makes perfect. There is a basic set of moves but nothing in stone.

  23. Ian Dewhirst once explained how it is done. They pay some sort of fee and say they can't find the rights owners etc. Then if the rightful owner sees it he can come after the label for what is due, probably more than the fee. Dunno if Stardust went about it this way but with so many releases and so many people to chase and get the permission it makes you wonder?
