  1. I've never seen one but I remember talk of someone having a copy without strings, myth and legend or the truth I don't know.
  2. The article will be done at the weekend, as soon as Kev has read it we will publish. Just got to rewrite a couple of things.
  3. Don't think I've seen tha film, will have to seek it out.
  4. The Maxine Brown "LMGYML" on the Kent lp is a different take, I can't remember off top why, think it might be added strings?
  5. It was an attempt to deceive, the idea being an alternate unissued version. It was quickly sussed to be ripped from the Lp. If it was legit it would have the proper credits for a start.
  6. Thuats the one RW compiled for Charly
  7. I would buy Vg- from funkyou with confidence. Just had some lps graded as such, hardly a mark on them. As you say most brits far to lax with their gradings.
  8. Just got a Dutch copy of this Lp, good un it is too.
  9. If you haven't yet purchased your copy then I would do so quick. This release has been an excellent seller and stock is dwindling.
  10. Must get back up there, had a brilliant time when Andy Dyson and myself came along to Dj. Nice set btw.
  11. Nice one Chris. You could make it easy for us and tell us what the Lp is as well Listening now and searching too, thanks
  12. Whose auction is it?
  13. Should be more footage of his visit on my youtube page.
  14. The 1A indicate 1st recording/mix (1), 1st lacquer (A) as I have read on Dave Flynn and other sites. Neither did I say it was pressed in New York, merely indication what the P was for as again does Flynny.
  15. ZTSP were Columbia's New York and Hollywood pressing plants. The J in JZSP signifies demo. Yes some matrix are scratched in.
  16. The Red A is as said the plug side. The JZSP number confirms it a swell as the one with the A ends in 3 the flip (Too Late) 4.
  17. I didn't know anything about this or that they used my video (not that I mind) so thanks for sharing Mike.
  18. Larry Banks kindly sent me a couple of CDs. One of Connie and Sweet Magic taken from the masters and one of the El-Deons rehearsing for a reunion gig. Larry kindly said I could share with you so hear are the El-Deons.
  19. and a grand is just daft, some desperate people out there, if they are Djs they'd do better showing a bit of imagination and saving a few quid.
  20. I believe it was a Mecca spin originally albeit very brief. Chris Plant who probably began to give it serious turntable action?
  21. Scans courtesy of a mate......
  22. Ion first who sold it to Rob Marriott who in turn sold it to Richard.
  23. The Sweets are/were three sisters from Richmond, California. Felice, Darlene and Norma Taylor. There was an assumption that Sandy Golden sang SAMB as it shares the same backing as the Sandy Golden track but I think that was just an uneducated guess with nothing to back it up.
  24. It says The Stax Club doesn't it? Photo taken Oxford Street, Malmesbury, Wilts
