  1. Tent Room with radio djs? Tent room was the sort of crossover tent at Fleetwood.
  2. Last two shows for you listening pleasure. Alan "Kitch" Kitchener a week ago with two hours of album tracks. This week Jim "Beat Route" Cessford
  3. There was some Doré reissued in the late 80s or was it 90s, probably one of those.
  4. I always assume till late is the opposite, midnight, 1am.
  5. It used to be about £75 give or take. Heard what it went for, barmy. Used to spin it late 80s, good record that was never as big as it maybe should have been during my time.
  6. I did a two hour show at Christmas
  7. You should look out for the Grace Love lp, some far better tracks on it than Fire.
  8. Do you buy limited run even if you don’t like it? Not looking for a debate/argumet etc just interested. I probably did at one time with some labels but now I just buy what I like.
  9. If I had to take a guess I would lean towards Jesse Thomas. Everything about it suggests a vanity project
  10. @Sean Hampsey
  11. I missed that bit, need to go BACK to supersavers I've edited with a blog post about them.
  12. Blog post here about the Canadian ones... https://www.backlotmovie.com/items/BMM0002586.html?fbclid=IwAR0K49B841m54bNWkAjWXwnaYVjMti-P5WWtZ-fxvZGgnk-Xng1HG4IbJzc
  13. I’ve pre ordered the lp
  14. I’ve been in touch with Larry, he has never heard of the Royal Imperials, Hadley also confirms it is not the Servicemen. Roy C and the Dewdrops was part of the Hadley Murrell family, someone put two and two together and got me thinks, thinking cause it is on Wind Hit it must be the Servicemen
  15. Slightly slower and added instrumentation if memory serves. Pitch it up +2 and you have same record
  16. The labels are reversed as well
  17. For the purpose of the vote do you mean brand new music or a new release regardless of the year it was made, vintage as you call it, Kent etc?
  18. The players are all listed on the Lp, that’ll be where the info is taken from. Not sure if they are the same Chevelles on ORR with Cookie Scott, I would assume they are.
  19. https://www.discogs.com/artist/1328187-The-Mighty-Chevelles
  20. Yep yer right just found an old topic... If weare talking what Sam has played then the list will be endless
  21. I’m not certain but I’m sure you cannot press as many demos as you want. You can do a certain percentage of the stock copies is what I think I read a long time ago. The likes of RCA probably pressed the issues but if they didn’t hit/sell they probably recycled the vinyl. They would also send out demos nationwide hence the number compared to the lack of issues. If you look at smaller local independant labels demos are more than likely to be a lot more scarcer than issues. Some releases may not have got passed the promotional stage.
  22. I don’t think Margaret Little was Sam first, Mark Speakman if memory serves. Dynamics was a Gavin Page spin back in the early 90s, long before any mentioned here.
  23. I want to listen to rare soul, be it on an actete, local release, national release or an Lp. I don’t wish to hear reissues from years later or bootlegs. I’ve Djed countless times too and I’ve never been asked do I play OVO, nor have I ever asked that of any promoter or DJ, you just know the score when you are around the scene. Why do we need the rules when as a promoter you are booking the right people, why the need to tell everyone you are an OVO event. The vast majority already knw the score the rest couldn’t give a monkey.
  24. Its a pop at anyone who says different tbh, no one in particular. I was simp,y quoting what you said.
