  1. I’ve noticed a fair bit of levelling off the last couple of years for certain stuff, more high end stuff. Although some lower end stuff is fetching more than it shoud be. The whole market is still totally skewered price wise mind.
  2. Irving Coleman, John Wynn, Roger Phillips, Ronald McLaughlin, Tyrone McCullough. a list of all Boba’s interviews in this link...
  3. That is certainly a boot, its the Lp. I thought this was the one Blackpoolsoul was referring to?
  4. Probably forgotten by then mate and a large proportion were recent to the scene. Lots of forgotten stuff, or records that hadn’t had their day (but known to collectirs maybe) were dusted off and covered up. All a game really just to stay ahead or try for a week or two.
  5. You have the wrong cover up title etc. Geraldine Jones & The Floorshakers was the cover up for Margie Hendrix - One Room Paradise - Mercury. Paulette was covered as Patti J & Contacts.
  6. Forgot that, read it when BobA published it and listened to the interview too
  7. Was he actually a member? They were formerly Walter & Admerations, Green Berets etc.
  8. Found much later than the Mecca, would be in the 90s when found.
  9. I think Mark refers to the new LP not previous 45s.
  10. Rough Trade exclusive I think.

  12. Robert Pruter doesn't know much more if anything more than what he wrote in his Chicago Soul book. He said he should have asked more questions about him during his interviews in writing the book.
  13. No, CD only. Shake Hands With A Dreamer (William Weatherspoon-James Dean-Stanley McMullen) published Jobete 15-Feb-67 Jimmy Ruffin; recorded Hitsville-GW, completed 24-Jan-67 ; produced by William Weatherspoon, James Dean 12-Jan-04; CD (M): Motown 981 2006 Jimmy Ruffin - The Ultimate Motown Collection [UK]
  14. Very little about him in it mate, just that he died sometime in the 70s, Shirley Wahls recorded his demos, Why Am I Crying being one such demo originally. She did such a good job they recorded it on her. 65000 it sold in Chicago alone according to Shirley. He gets a mention on three pages for his songwriting, that is about it.
  15. The Durand Jones Lp dropped this week, limited purple press, looks cool.
  16. He died in the 70s, Was more a producer and songwriter than recording artist. He wrote Why Am I Crying for Shirley Wahls.
  17. Discogs isn't always right
  18. The Gloria is a boot taken from the Lp if I remember rightly
  19. I was there and still no wiser
  20. Really? Ady’s weekender? I’ve never heard of her let alone remember seeing her there Djing.
  21. Kings Hall isn’t full these days, most all-nighters struggle for numbers these days, the regular scene is about 3-400 strong tops, mainstram scene gets the numbers at weekenders but a regalar niter will definitely struggle. One off, you already have a divvy delight at Butlins. You have to see some of the videos and you try your best to disassociate yourself with the scene.
  22. And vice versa
  23. Forgive me for asking but who is DJ Honey?
  24. What and fill it wth divs? It already exists 7000 at butlins
  25. Do you have any echoes for sale
