  1. Hamitton Movement, big for 5 or 6 years? You can tell some of these never go anywhere.
  2. Sadly far too many are rewriting history. I'm forever correcting people, simply as I like to see credit where credit is deserved
  3. Not saying the Lp is dodgy but Juno have sold bootlegs before.
  4. couldn't find the label on company check
  5. I have my doubts about any of them being legit, no credits, no rights reserved or license details, probably some copyright infringement with the logo.
  6. Last night's show featuring myself...
  7. I'm guesting on Dean's show tonight. If you have nowt better to do hopefully you can tune in. Will be spinning few releases from this year as well as some other great soul music. Listen live - locally on 107.8FM, on DAB, or on the Radio Newark website https://www.radionewark.co.uk/radioplayer/choose-your-player/ Also available using the TuneIn app on your mobile or the TuneIn website https://tunein.com/radio/Radio-Newark-s193516/ www.radionewark.co.uk

  9. Merry Christmas Mike and all members of Soul Source and all the best for 2020.
  10. Martha Starr is the 45 release of Sweet temptation.
  11. Two better scans of the first release...
  12. Probably a carver. There is probably a carver out there of just about every record, most of the sellers on ebay who offer boots are carvers and some do them to order. I haven't seen a boot of Ward Burton, a boot as in a 300 count press etc.
  13. I haven't read the links yet so not sure where the connection to Bill Smith comes from? Obviously Sweet Temptation/If'N are his records but the rest all appear to have no connection. Panther owned by Willie Hammond. The only other Greenville connection I can think of with major Bill is Martha Starr who came from the town.
  14. There are 6 releases listed in R&B Indies. 1. Ward Burton & Music Men Inc - Salty Dog If'N 2. Willie Hammond - The One Who Really Loves You. (PAN 2-A) Lots More Fish In The Sea (PAN 2-B) 3. The Bojax - Hippie time Go Ahead & Go 1968 4. The Bojax - Don't Look Back Fast Life 5. The Bojax - So Glad I've Enjoyed As Much Of You As I Can 6. Ward Burton - Sweet Temptation (PAN-5A If'N (PAN-5B) Then of course... 2. Ronny Lowe & The Dominoes - The One Who Really Loves You (PAN-2A) Too Many Fish In The Sea (PAN-2B) To complicate matters there is this release not listed in R&B Indies 4331 The Invisible Burgundy Bullfrog - Cry Me A River (PRP 8171) Batman Rides Again (PRP 8172) Obviously connected as the font is the same and they share the same music publisher, Rainy Day Music.
  15. Ward Burton one is 66/7 or 67/8. The other 69.
  16. According to R&B Indies Ward Burton Panther out of Greenville, SC whilst the Reggie Sadler Panther is Hickory, NC. They may well be linked somehow though.
  17. My apologies Julian if we are, The nickname threw me as he the John I posted was also nicknamed batman in the replies?
  18. Pete Fowler shared this post from Steve Parker on Facebook a few days ago......
  19. I didn't think it had but one or two swear it did and I asked Pat and he said he played it the odd time?
  20. don't see what the fuss is about personally? Very average. Is it because its rare/obscure? It isn't a patch on Mary Wells.
  21. gear & bollox maybe?
  22. Last nights show, Dean and Neil "Shoey" Clarke with two hours of festive crackers to warm the soul on a wet winter's night.
  23. You can tell when he sings “Higher” it isn’t Jackie, well you can tell from the first note really.
  24. I have asked and it isn’t the Eddie Hughes we are interested in.
