  1. The post will have taken it over the max value
  2. Was it $22 plus postage? The postage is included.
  3. I was listening to some of Lorraine's tracks last night and I decided to put them together in a mix, 13 tracks all in all....
  4. The name is trademarked, Sound Of Soul
  5. Dean Anderson's Sound Of Soul ™ bounces into the Roaring Twenties with two hours of some of the finest rare soul music the scene has to offer. Gez also makes a welcome return to the studio.
  6. I should have said many not everyone
  7. Not a great start to the 20s with news on social media about the passing of Lorraine Chandler. Lorraine having toured here was very approachable and engaging with her fans. Was for a time a very active member of Soul Source. R.I.P. Lorraine and thank you for the music.
  8. Back in 2004/5 when Paul was breaking this, you knew who was playing what. There wasn’t that many nighters we didn’t all attend, nor soul nights. Lifeline had just started the year or so prior and the nighter scene wasn’t in great shape. The main nighters were all at Sheridans, Kings Hall. Everyone who was active knew who was playing what. It wasn’t the numerous factions we have now.
  9. I would imagine the BBC had everything or just about everything that saw a UK release, at least up to the demo stage and also many that didn't even get that far.
  10. according to figures recently the BBC Archives still has a massive collection of vinyl and CDs. There is little doubt it will have been pilfered from time to time or records getting lost whilst out with the various shows using them.
  11. Didn't every BBC station have a record library? Manchester, Sheffield etc etc. Wasn't there a haul in Manchester of old BBC stock?
  12. you need to take summat for that
  13. Phil Swern I think owns the company that provides the BBC's digital services. I listened to an interview once when BBC was beginning to think about digitising and he said he already had them all digitised. He has every top 40 record since the charts began apparently. https://www.longlivevinyl.net/phil-collector-swern-interview/
  14. Hamitton Movement, big for 5 or 6 years? You can tell some of these never go anywhere.
  15. Sadly far too many are rewriting history. I'm forever correcting people, simply as I like to see credit where credit is deserved
  16. Not saying the Lp is dodgy but Juno have sold bootlegs before.
  17. couldn't find the label on company check
  18. I have my doubts about any of them being legit, no credits, no rights reserved or license details, probably some copyright infringement with the logo.
  19. Last night's show featuring myself...
  20. I'm guesting on Dean's show tonight. If you have nowt better to do hopefully you can tune in. Will be spinning few releases from this year as well as some other great soul music.
